“Changes in the situation, changes in the ISS latitude”, Betit wrote in the post. “We rotated 180 degrees and went back to Soyuz yesterday. This is a bit long but continued to watch the surprise in the middle.”

Surprise is the amazing Aurora, and it is an amazing view of green light caused by charged molecules from the sun that interact with the magnetic field of the Earth and the atmosphere. We have seen a lot of Aurora shots taken from ISS over the years, but the intensity of this one is among the most powerful offers.

The Soyuz spacecraft spoke by Pettit arrived on Tuesday, carrying with NASA astronaut Johnny Kim and Russian astronauts Sergey Resikov and Alexei Zubitsky. They will live and work on the space station for about eight months, and they return to Earth in December.

The Pettit mission began in September last year and is expected to end some time this month.

During his presence in Orbit, the 69 -year -old Pettit is the oldest astronaut in NASA – dazzling the Earth’s speeches with an endless stream of amazing images and videos.

The American astronaut participated in creating his creative skills, a picture that includes the “eyeball”, which was taken across the seven windows of the dome unit at the station.

In an interview from the station last year, Bettite shared an insight into space photography, explaining how he managed to take some impressive shots, and why he gets such a kick.
