3 Kids Rescued From Unlivable Home In Spain, Parents Arrested

3 children were rescued from the closed house

A German couple living in Ovido was arrested after the police discovered that their three children had been closed at home. According to the local outlets, the disturbing discovery came after the neighbors reported the absence of children from the school on April 14. This prompted an investigation by the local authorities.

According to the translated reports from the local ports El Comrco, El Mondo and ABC, the police launched an investigation, collecting witness data and verifying home records. Initially, nothing appeared – until deeper officers dug. The family had rented the house in October 2021, with the father’s name only on the lease. The neighbors reported that they had not seen the family vacation since December 2021. However, the father was sometimes monitored as a grocery and mail.

On Monday, April 28, the Oviedo Police Department saved the three children from the Spanish house. They have been closed inside for more than three years, following the last wave of the Covid-19s. The local media reported the tragic situation, and revealed that children, between the ages of 8 (twins), have been isolated for a long time.

When the police knocked on its door on April 28, the father allowed them to enter. But before the door was opened, the parents were said to cancel the children and warned the officers that the children were “very sick”. Inside, they found garbage everywhere, expired medicines, masks used, and unpleasant smell. The officers even found the stool inside, the bed of the family instead of the family, and the distorted dolls to look like monsters. They were not even allowed to enter the garden of the house, according to reports.

What is after the parents?

The parents of the children, a 53 -year -old German man and his 48 -year -old American wife (who also carried a German passport). Their concern in Spain includes domestic violence, the usual psychological abuse, and the abandonment of children.

“The children were terrible. He was very heavy,” one of the officers claimed. “They didn’t suffer from malnutrition, because they were fed. As of April 30, parents remain in detention of a trial without sponsorship, according to reports.

The three children were transferred to the National Human Rights Center in Spain for medical evaluation. After that, they were placed under the custody of the Ministry of Welfare and were sent to a juvenile center.
