Trump doubles down on acquiring Greenland for ‘world peace’ amid Vance visit

President Donald Trump emphasized the need to obtain Greenland as part of the United States for international security purposes on Friday, where Vice President JD VANCE conducted a trip there with the second lady, Osha Vance.

Although the Danish lands said they are seeking independence from Copenhagen and are not interested in becoming part of the United States, Trump has repeatedly offered, returning to his first administration, and a desire to secure Greenland to the United States with the presence of Russian and Chinese in the Arctic.

“If you look at Greenland now, if you look at the waterways, you have Chinese and Russian ships everywhere, and we will not be able to do so,” Trump told reporters on Friday. “We do not rely on Denmark or anyone to take care of this situation. We are not talking about peace for the United States, we are talking about world peace, we are talking about international security.”

The corridors, along with National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and the Republican senator in Utah Mike Li, arrived in Greenland on Friday to visit the Pittevik Space Base, which is the military fixation in the far north of the Ministry of Defense. Denmark and Greenland began an investigation in 2022, and the report is expected to be issued this year.

A senior White House official said in a statement in favor of Fox News Digiki that Denmark’s treatment for Greenland members would receive great attention during Vans’s visit.

“Unfortunately, Danish leaders spent decades in the mistreatment of the Greenland people, and they treat them like second -class citizens and allow the infrastructure on the island to the decision,” the official said on Thursday.

Greenland is rich in natural resources, including oil and natural gas, and Russia and China have strengthened its presence in the region in recent years.
