5 online barre classes you must try
Sharing 5 must-try online exercise classes that are a fun item to add to your fitness routine.
Hello friends! How are you? I hope you enjoy the week! I meet some friends, make calls with clients, and attend yoga classes.
Today, I wanted to talk about a workout format that has stood the test of time. It’s something I’ve loved for many years and always come back to as a staple in my routine:
Barry!

I love barre exercises because they remind me of my old dancing days, they are very challenging, but easier on the joints. There is little effect and I feel like no matter what, I always get a good workout. There are so many great barre options online, so I wanted to share five of my top five if you’re looking to take some barre classes at home instead of in a studio. This is an excellent option for my pre-menopausal or menopausal friends who are used to HIIT workouts, but want something low-impact and still an excellent workout.
5 Online Barre Classes You Should Try
Pure wild
Pure Barre classes are designed to target specific muscle groups using small isometric movements. By isolating these muscles and working them to the point of fatigue, you can achieve a long, lean body while improving your flexibility, posture, and overall body alignment. It’s a fun and challenging full-body workout.
One of the things I love most about Pure Barre is its inclusivity. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or a beginner, Pure Barre offers modifications and variations to meet you where you are on your fitness journey. The supportive and encouraging environment makes it a welcoming space for all fitness levels and ages.
Why I love Pure Bari:
I feel like these classes are more music based, and feel like the more *classic* barbell exercises to me. It includes a mix of pulses, isometric holds, and full-range movements, as well as basic burners, exciting extensions, and challenging series. With a variety of class formats, including Classic, Empower, and Reform, you can mix it up and keep your workouts fresh and exciting.
Price: Starts at $9.99 per month (billed annually; $29.99 billed monthly) You can also access different formats, including Club Pilates and Yoga Six.
britsbury
I recently discovered these exercises and fell in love with them. It’s a classic barre exercise with powerful cueing, functional flows, and a great burn. Britt Szymanski is a former professional ballet dancer turned master barre instructor who understands what it means to juggle mom life while making fitness a priority. After spending years teaching and coaching in New York City, Britt became a mother in 2020, and found that adjusting to studio time just wasn’t working anymore. This personal turning point inspired her to launch Britsbarre Virtual Studio: a space built by a mom for moms, where movement meets real life. I have created short, rhythm and strength based classes that are very effective without a huge time commitment.

In these classes, you’ll find traditional barbell exercises: low-impact, high-rep sequences designed to build lean muscle, boost endurance, and energize your energy, even on busy days. Britt is also a certified prenatal and postnatal coach, so you can expect lots of great instruction and modification options. The workouts are completely custom-made, with many taking less than 30 minutes, making them perfect for busy moms who need something effective, flexible and engaging. Each chapter includes instruction focused on alignment, adjustments (including pre/postnatal), and choices you can make without equipment or in a small space. Equipment for these classes includes a mat, a band ring, a Pilates ball, and dumbbells. Click here to try it! All subscriptions include a free 7-day trial.

Okay, in all fairness, this isn’t a traditional workout, but the strength and sculpting workouts are very barre workouts. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you like barre classes!

Why I love Sculpt Society:
I really like the design of the workout and the atmosphere of Megan Robb. It’s encouraging and fun, but it doesn’t try too hard to make you laugh. He doesn’t have any silly phrases, and he seems like a real person. It’s very refreshing in a world of top fitness trainers, and all the classes are very well done. I’m having fun, I’m sweating, and I feel challenged.
Pricing: They offer a free trial. You can also use my code GINA25 at this link to get 25% off your first month. After that it’s $179.99 per year or $19.99 (what I currently pay for my subscription).
Coach Kyle’s workouts
I found Coach Kel’s YouTube years ago and love her workouts. They’re more ballet-like, which I love, and I also love her simple training style. She has a lot of workouts on her channel and the best part is that they are free. She is truly an amazing teacher. I wish I could add more information here, but I had a hard time learning more about Coach Keel and her background even though she is active on social media. The good news is that you can check out her workouts for free and see how much you like them!
Pricing: Free! It also has an on-demand platform that you can check out here for $19.99 per month.
Ballet is beautiful
Think back to the time I had the opportunity to take an in-person class! I was shocked by the uniqueness and effectiveness of this format. All you need is a yoga mat to get started.

Honorable Mention:
Barre3, is all about finding balance in every aspect of your life. With a focus on functional movements, the exercises aim to improve strength, flexibility and stability, while also boosting your mental health. It’s not just about the physical aspect; It’s about connecting with your body and taking a mindful approach to fitness.
Barre3 classes are a mix of isometric exercises, functional movements, and dynamic stretching. Using props such as gliders, weights and balls adds variety and intensity to your workouts, keeping you constantly engaged and challenged.
Why I love Bare 3:
I love the mental aspect of barre3. There is a heavy emphasis on the mind-body connection, with a series of breaths beginning and ending each chapter. I added this as an honorable mention because I don’t gravitate toward these workouts as much as I used to. I feel there are more dynamic and fun options out there, which I shared above.
Pricing: 14-day trial. Billed $19.99 per month annually, billed $29.99 per month.
