President Donald Trump is returning from Davos to celebrate anniversary with Melania

president Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary on January 22, 2025.

The president returns to Washington, D.C., tonight from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and aims to have an anniversary dinner with the First Lady, a White House source familiar with the matter told Fox News.

The 45th and 47th presidents met model Melania Knaus in 1998 at a party in New York City.

The couple’s wedding, attended by 350 guests, at the Episcopal Church at Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, was followed by a reception at Mar-a-Lago.

The First Lady at the time wore a $100,000 Christian Dior wedding dress.

It consisted of a 13-foot train and a 16-foot-long veil covered in beads, which was said to have taken more than 500 hours of hand stitching to make, according to published accounts of the event in The Palm Beach Post and The Palm Beach Daily News at the time.

“Although my wedding was grand on a grand scale, what I felt in my heart is what every other bride feels on her special day,” the first lady wrote in her recent best-selling memoir, “Melania,” about her wedding day. “The pressure to ensure everything ran smoothly was certainly real, but in the end, my primary focus was celebrating Donald and my love and commitment, surrounded by my loved ones.”

Donald J. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Ballroom was reportedly decorated with 10,000 flowers for the occasion, with chefs serving up caviar and crystal champagne.

In a January 2005 account, the Palm Beach Daily News said the dinner included “beggar’s bags filled with caviar, fried tenderloins, miniature wedding cakes and the finest crystal poured into one of those magic goblets that are never empty.”

The report continued: “Long tables seating 20 filled the ballroom, with their gleaming chandeliers and sweeping gold leaves. Designer Preston Bailey set the tables in cream and gold, from the linens and china to the tableware.

The Trump family then had their son, Barron William Trump – the president’s fifth and youngest son – who was born on March 20, 2006 in New York City.

The 19-year-old is an undergraduate student at New York University and attends classes at the school’s Washington, D.C., campus.

Later this month, Mrs. Trump will release a documentary called “Melania,” offering viewers an intimate look into her life.

The 104-minute film narrates the First Lady’s life in the lead-up to the inauguration – from her home in Trump Tower in New York City, to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, and all the way behind the scenes at the White House.

“History began to move during the 20 days of my life leading up to the inauguration of the American president,” the First Lady previously told Fox News.

“For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to watch this pivotal chapter unfold — a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to become First Lady of the United States of America,” Mrs. Trump said.

She said the story “had never been told, and because the subject matter is of such historical importance, it was essential for me to produce a film of the highest cinematic standard, suitable exclusively for theaters around the world.”

“The 20 days of my life leading up to the inauguration of the American President constitute a rare and defining moment — one that requires meticulous care, integrity, and relentless ingenuity,” she said.

“I’m proud to share this very specific moment in my life – 20 days of transformation and intense planning – with moviegoers and fans around the world.”
