Bipartisan bill would establish FEMA as an independent cabinet-level agency

A couple of legislators in Florida from the two parties cooperates to establish the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as a separate agency at the cabinet level in an attempt to “cut the red tape, improve government efficiency, and save lives.”

Actors Jared Moskovic, De Flores, Peron Donalds, R. Flores presented the FEMA Independence law on Monday, which aims to separate the agency from the “bureaucratic maze” in the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) and return it to its basic mission in providing emergency assistance.

“As the first emergency department manager to be elected ever in congress, I saw the challenges of the challenges they face, respond to, and recover from disaster events. As these emergency situations continue to grow greater and more widespread, the American people deserve an effective and rapid federal response,” Moscowz said in a joint statement with Fox News. “To achieve this, Fema must be fixed.”

The draft law will also require the appointment of a director of the agency’s leadership when confirming the Senate.

The director will be asked to have a “demonstration capacity in emergency and internal security” and not less than five years of executive experience and administrative experience in the public and private sectors, according to the text of the bill.

Moskovic highlighted how Fema is under the “DHS” “umbrella” with about 20 other agencies, saying: “The preparation is simply not working.”

“By removing the FEMA from the Ministry of Internal Security and restoring its status as an independent agency at the cabinet level, the draft law of my two parties will help cutting the red tape, improving government efficiency, and saving lives.” “This will also help re -focus Fema on its original mission: as an agency charged with responding before and after and after disaster events.”

“Fema has become excessive, excessive, incomplete, and very effective, and there is a significant change to serve the American people in the best way,” Donalds said, in a joint statement with Fox.

“When the disaster strikes are, the rapid and effective procedure should be the standard – not the exception.” “It is necessary that Fema be removed from the bureaucratic maze from DHS and instead it was appointed to submit a direct report to the President of the United States.”

The draft law comes two months after President Donald Trump launched a review board as part of an initiative to start “reform and reform mainly” the agency.

“Although nearly 30 billion dollars of disaster aid in the past three years, Fema has been able to leave the weak Americans without the resources or support they need when they need them more.” “There are dangerous concerns about the political bias in FEMA. In fact, at least one respondent from Fema that Fema managers have ordered them to avoid the homes of individuals who support Donald J. Trump’s campaign.”

Fema’s use of resources has also been scrutinized in the past few weeks after the Ministry of Governmental efficiency, led by billionaire Elon Musk, revealed that the agency, during the era of former President Joe Biden, allocated $ 59 million to New York City to pay the costs of “luxury hotels” to illegal immigrants.

Moskovic said the Fema should be reformulated instead of canceling it.
