Top lawmaker asks Trump admin to scrap report cracking down on blue city cops

Exclusive: The Senate Speaker of Arizona Warren Petersen is asking the Ministry of Justice to cancel a report that may lead to intense federal supervision of the Phoenix Police Department.
In a letter to the newly -established public prosecutor for civil rights, Petersen asked the Ministry of Justice to retreat from the Biden administration on civil rights cases within the administration. The report will mainly try to obtain the City of Phoenix to agree to a high federal participation through the Ministry of Justice.
The June 2024 report said that the administration and the city “participate in a pattern or practice behavior that violates the constitution of the United States and federal law,” including “excessive force” and discriminatory practices against minorities and displaced persons.

“The Ministry of Justice’s report contained a set of biased and inaccurate results against the city police station, which puts Phoenix on a destroyed and cost -effective approval road that would inhibit our brave men and women in Blue from reducing crime and protecting from the innocent Phoenicians.
Petersen argued that if the police department under the approval decree is exposed to the Ministry of Justice, this will create similar challenges to what the Marikuba County Office is dealing with now after it reached the approval decree in 2015, which is expected to exceed 310 million dollars in the coming months, argue with the Republic of the Republic.
“The former sheriff of Marikuba Benzon, democratic, resigned from his position last year, in a large part, due to the frustration of the approval decree commenting on his office. He said:” He said: “

He admitted that the administration had pushed reforms on its conditions, saying that there should be accountability for cases related to “rogue police agencies or officers”, but noted that this is not the way to do it.
“In short, these approval decrees are nothing more than background attempts to kidnap the police stations and bring them under the control of the federal government,” he added. “Approval ceremonies are unconstitutional and are exploited by presidential departments.”
Before his election to the Senate, Democratic senator Robin Galigo used his official office in the House of Representatives to write to Biden Doj expressing his opposition to August approval.

“I am very urged to think about entering into a technical auxiliary letter with Phoenix instead of continuing to follow the approval decree,” Galligo wrote. “While the Ministry of Justice raises several valid points in the report report, both PPD and Phoenix are already welcome reforms to enhance the task to protect Phoenix residents from crime and protect their civil rights.”
While Biden was still in office, many progressive progressive in the state had argued that there should be a federal accountability for the agency.
