Donald Trump attacks Ukraine for not recognising Russian occupation of Crimea

president Donald Trump attacked Ukrainian leader Folodimir Zelinski for refusing to recognize the occupation of the Crimea Russia, accusing him of harming peace negotiations with Moscow.

In a publication on the social truth on Wednesday, the US President described the situation for Ukraine as “comfortable”. “He can get peace, or he can fight for another three years before losing the entire country,” Trump said.

He added: “We are very close to a deal, but the man who has” no cards to play “must finally accomplish it.”

Trump was responding to a note by Zellinski in Kiev on Tuesday, when he told the correspondents that Ukraine “would not recognize the occupation of the Crimea”, the Black Sea Peninsula that Russia annexed in 2014 and is still internationally recognized as a Ukrainian region. “Nothing we are talking about here. This is against our constitution.”

The US President answered that the statement was “very harmful to peace negotiations with Russia,” adding that the Crimea “was lost years ago … and not a discussion point.”

Later on Wednesday, Trump again referred to the President of Ukraine as an obstacle to a deal. “I will say I think Russia is ready … I think we have a deal with Russia.” He added, “I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelenskyy. So far, it’s more difficult.”

His intervention came days after the United States float a possible decision for the war that included Washington, recognizing Russian control over the Crimea, as well as at least recognition of the actual control of Karmlin on parts of four regions in eastern Ukraine – Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporesia and Skilson – and he is carrying.

When Trump spoke in Washington, the Air Force in Ukraine announced a warning alert throughout the country. The mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko also said that many fires erupted from the drones that were broken by air defenses.

“Putin only shows the desire to kill,” said Andrei Yermak, Arkan Chief of Zelensky.

The Financial Times reported earlier this week that Russian President Vladimir Putin was offered to stop his invasion of Ukraine in the current front line and told Steve Whitkov, Trump’s private envoy, during a meeting in Saint Petersburg this month that Moscow could give up its demands of the four natural areas that are still under Kiev’s control.

Vice President JD Vance to a warning earlier on Wednesday, saying that the United States had issued a “very clear proposal” to Russia and Ukraine, adding, “It is time for them to either say yes or the United States to stay away from this process.”

“The current lines, somewhere near it, are where you are in the end, I think, you will draw the new lines in the conflict,” Vans told reporters in India. He said that doing this means that Kyiv and Moscow are forced to give up the lands that control each side.

Trump’s comments and phones as officials from France, the United Kingdom and Germany-the so-called E3-came with their Ukrainian counterparts in London, with the American envoy to Ukraine, Keith Keel.

It was also expected that Wittakov and Marco Rubio, Foreign Minister, were also expected to attend, but they did not appear in the end. This was a blow to European officials who felt marginalized by the United States and saw the London meeting as a way to secure a seat on the negotiating table on ending the war.

In reference to the meeting, Zelenskyy said on Telegram that the emotions were “going high”, but he was hoping that “such a joint action. He would lead to permanent peace.” He added that Ukraine “will always be spent according to its constitution” and “we are completely sure that our partners will be in particular in the United States of America in line with its strong decisions.”

An official in the London said that anxiety is increasing in the United Kingdom, France and Germany about the position of the United States in Ukraine and Trump’s loss of patience with this operation.

The official said that the three countries were trying to find a landing zone of a deal that does not see Ukraine forced to violate all its red lines, but it may include some movement by Kiev towards waiving its lands, as an end point for negotiations.

Zelenskyy has been prepared for some time to live with Russian domination by virtue of the Crimea and the four east in exchange for Western security guarantees.

However, with the support of European capitals, he refused to formally recognize Russian sovereignty over any of the lands, saying that it will reward Moscow’s aggression.

While opinion polls indicate increasing support between the Ukrainians to end a deal to end the war, there is a strong opposition to the officials of Russia to officially.

European governments say that the recognition of Russian sovereignty over the Crimea-the first region in Europe that the military force has seized since 1945-will undermine the international regime based on the bases.

One of the Ukrainian officials said: “If you realize America, this is a reward for Russia for the war and any aggressor will think,” Well, I can try. “Putin will think,” Yes, I was right, war is a good thing. ”
