Illinois Senate candidate endorsed by Duckworth

Illinois Governor Juliana Straton picked up the support of senator Tami Dakright in the preliminary elections to succeed retired Senator Dick Dorbin.

Straton launched her campaign last week after Durbin, 80 -year -old, who was first -elected in the Senate in 1996, announced that he would not seek to re -election in 2026. She was supported last week by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.

“Not only Juliana has proven that she is an experienced and effective Lieutenant ruler – she has repeatedly showed that she truly understood and cares about workers,” Dackerett, who represented Illinois, told Politico.

She added: “I am honored to be next to me in the Senate while we are working to achieve real results for Illinois, and I am proud to support her campaign.”

“Donald Trump and Eileon Musk are trying to pay our attention to creating such chaos that we do not even know where to start. But in Washington, they still do the same old things that they have always done, and this old book does not work,” Straton said in a video.

Straton described herself as a teacher and an old warrior on the southern side of Chicago, and a mother for four years.

Politico told her that she was “honored” by supporting Duckworth and that “Tammy is a real leader of Ilinoy who is not back away from the challenge.”
