No dumping, no cut-throat competition from Beijing, says Chinese envoy to India
The Chinese Ambassador to India, Shaw Hong, stressed that China will not participate in throwing the market or suspended competition because it seeks deeper economic relations with emerging economies, including India.
In an editorial published by The Indian Express, Xu confirmed that China is strictly committed to the rules of the World Trade Organization and the industries of other countries will not be disrupted even with the escalation of global trade tensions. He wrote, “China will strictly comply with the World Trade Organization specializations and market rules and will not indulge in marketing the market or competition, and does not seek to disrupt the industries of other countries,” he wrote.
In the opening article entitled “The opportunity of China and India”, Shaw framing the US -led continuous tariff and commercial wars as a destabilization force undermining the international regime based on rules.
He called on countries to develop union in defending multiple parties and enhancing joint economic growth. However, it is worth noting that this article does not refer to the direct security concerns of India after the Paalgam attack, which killed a civilian life.
Shaw has argued that the economic rise in China stems from self -motivation instead of external concessions.
He pointed out that China’s contribution to global economic stability indicated that the BRICS countries now represent nearly half of the world’s population and five trade. China and India are expected to generate the multiple effect of “1 = 11”, where the two countries are expected to contribute 36 % to global economic growth over the next six years – a number that exceeds the joint contribution of G7 economies.
The Ambassador also repeated China’s openness to Indian products, saying that China is committed to expanding domestic demand and providing market opportunities to obtain high -quality imports. Meanwhile, Shaw warned against unilateral actions by the United States, on the pretext that history indicates the dangers of economic and fever. He called for strengthening regional cooperation mechanisms such as the comprehensive regional economic partnership (RCEP) and the Digital economy Partnership Convention (DePa) to maintain global stability.
Shaw warned that the world stands at a crossroads and urges developing countries to work together to support multiple parties, protect the interests of the global south, and inject stability that is needed in a troubled global scene.
