Americans weigh in on REAL ID rollout after 2005 law finally takes effect

Many travelers who are preparing for their flights at Atlanta Hartsfeld-Jackson Fox News told the government that the government has effectively informed the Americans about the real identity law that entered on May 7, as many added that the new requirements enhance safety.
“I think they have done a great job in telling people … and I think it is important, because we need to make sure that everyone got a correct identity,” said one of the man who spoke to Fox News Digital from the station.
Another man said, “I think the government really did a good job in informing the public that it is required. I see it everywhere.”
The real identity laws entered into force on May 7, although the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) announced before Wednesday that Americans who lack the new identity will remain able to travel, but they will face an additional offer. ID Real is a driving license compatible with a federal or any other identity that meets higher criteria than the state’s driver’s licenses.

congress approved the real identity law in 2005 to increase safety requirements for driver licenses in response to attacks on 9/11. Although some countries have begun to comply with the law more than a decade ago, enforcement in all states has been over and over again due to the epidemic, rejecting the accumulation of DMV, as well as some states, such as South Carolina, initially compliance.
