Sergeant Army. Brian Lieberman, 22, said that he “is doing” when he saved the life of a 14 -year -old girl in the middle of the shooting in his apartment complex. But the US Army believes that Lieberman is an American champion, and deserves a soldier’s medal.

Lieberman, an army medical, was appointed to the first fighting team, the 82nd Force, air -owned in Fort Prague, North Carolina.

The soldier’s medal, a prestigious prize since its establishment in 1926, is presented to those who are considered heroic through “a personal or personal danger that can be recognized clearly and the risk of voluntary life.”

It is not sufficient to simply be a “good Samaritan” or to save life. Instead, the recipient should behave without hesitation to put his life at stake.

On June 5, 2023, one of the militants attacked the Carrington Blais apartments complex in North Carolina, where a teenage girl was called a teenager at the back. The army’s training instincts began, and Lieberman rushed into the fire line.

“I looked at my window with my room colleague and heard people screaming and saw people run next to the complex swimming pool, and at this stage I grabbed my weapon and run out from my front door while my colleague in the room called the number 911.”.

“When I got to the basement, I approached a group of people and threw my hands and mentioned that I was a doctor in the army and pointed to an individual who was lying on the street. I was able to locate one gunshot wound to the bottom of her back.”

After discovering the wound, Lieberman began using his Medic Combat experience to treat the victim, including using groceries as a temporary seal. At that point, the gunman returned.

“I traveled a shooter in us again, and my colleague in the room shouted to me to go down. I threw myself on the girl while driving the archers [and] He shot us again, then that was when I pulled my weapon to re -fire in the suspect’s car. “

Then Lieberman continued to see the wounds of the young victim until the medical staff reached the scene.

The 22 -year -old won a Solider medal on Tuesday in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, for his heroism and self -denial that day.

But the humble nature of Lieberman and the victim did not start in the army. For him, he thanks his upbringing for his invitation to serve.

“Everything started at home,” Lieberman said. “My mother is still a nurse and she was more than 30 years ago and my father was a paramedic and a police officer [a] Combined for 30 years as well … I just grew up to see my parents always exceeding, and always stopped[ping] To help someone in need, regardless of where he is, what we were doing.

He reads a martyrdom of the army, “The courage of a Lieberman specialist and his willingness to risk his life to protect others is what is in line with the finest traditions of military service and reflects the great credit for him, the 82D air -carried division, and the US Army.”

Really modestly, Lieberman is attributed to others for his courageous behavior on that day.

Lieberman said: “I did not get this award if my colleague is not in the room in this scenario … But if it is not for him that day, I will not be in the situation I am now.” “I feel that he did not get a great confession that he deserves and I feel that he should sit here next to this interview and in every one interview.”

“Because I brought me my medical bag, I brought me all the breach that I used to clean her blood … So perhaps he had not pulled the trigger that day, but it was 110 % the reason why I was successful on that day in helping that girl.”
