Secret Services gets ten vehicles from GM to train agents

The US Secret Service recently received 10 GM vehicles (GM).
The agency in charge of guarding personalities from the United States and foreign countries announced the delivery of General Motors on Tuesday, saying that the group of vehicles is scheduled to be tested and used for training at the James J. Roli Training (RTC).
RTC is located in Laurel, Maryland, which is about 20 miles outside Washington, DC
“This opportunity with GM will be another tool that we can use to innovate and progress in our dynamic training,” SCOTT SIMONS’s private RTC agent said in a press release.

General Motors provided the secret service with two Cadillac Cad4 sedans, Cadillac CT5 sedan and Corvettes for each of them. The Cadillac Escalade SUV, a pick -up of Chevrolet Colorado, and Chevrolet Tahoe “with a police package” and Chevrolet Superbian, the other four cars that make up inventory.

“Experience with different types of vehicles can help teachers teach students how to adapt their driving techniques based on the vehicles they work in,” Simons said. “Since every vehicle deals differently in any specific situation, exposure to new cars will challenge coaches and give them an opportunity to develop more realistic training scenarios.”

The protective transport department coaches will also provide comments “on the technology integrated into vehicles” provided by the GM, according to the secret service.
Two sedans are characterized by manual transmission.
The Secret Service said that agents can coincide with manual transmission vehicles while working outside the United States that have manual transport vehicles, said the RTC Command coach Mark Armstrong, “We will enable us to provide instructions on how to drive manual vehicles on outdoor trips.”

Public Defense President Steve Domont said in a statement to Fox Business that the auto company “is committed to making sure that brave men and women who protect our national security and government institutions have the best equipment to improve their training and implement their critical mission.”

The presidential supply limusions such as “The Beast” and armored SUVs are among the other vehicles provided by General Motors Secret Service over the years.
The company also supported the installation of the presidency by providing vehicles. In January, for example, some vehicles contributed to President Donald Trump’s celebrations.
