Krasner wins Philadelphia DA primary amid criticism over city’s crime policies

Lawrence Krasner, Lawrence Krasner, survived the primary challenge of Judge Pat Dogan in what was seen as a real competitive race this year for the senior public prosecutor in the stronghold of Democrats from six to one.

However, if it turns out that Dogan received enough republican votes in addition to his temporary storage in democratic polls, he will have the opportunity to return a November match against Krasner.

The Republicans, who came out largely, out of power in the city since Mayor Bernard Samuel in the 1950s and the city council seats allocated to the minority parties, saw Dogan’s nomination as an opportunity to overthrow Krasner, whether he won or not on Tuesday.

The city’s Republican Party funded the website that advises voters in Dogan on the Republican line. Under the law, if Dugan 1000 receives writing, the candidate for the General Republic elections will be named, unless he rejects the opportunity. This would give more voters in the city an opportunity to get Krasner in the general elections in November.

“This is related to the crime of crime in Philadelphia illegal,” Vins Vinthrie, President of Velijop, told the South Felie Auditing newspaper.

Dogan received support from many Democratic Pavilion Committees and Philadelphia’s political games such as Senator Tina Tartaglion, as well as a large group of union groups such as IFF and Teamsters.

At its stadium for the voters, Dogan formulated the “geographical prosecution plan” to eliminate crime in the city.

“This plan revolves around more than just crime control – it is related to rebuilding societies. [It] Dogan said in a statement about his campaign site: “The criminals will hold accountability, provide second opportunities when necessary, and ensure that every neighborhood feels the influence of a just and just system that they can trust and believe in it again.”

Krasner, who seeks a third term, has been completed for his progressive policies of criminal justice and faced the rescue procedures from Republicans in the House of Representatives, which is now controlled by democracy.

In 2023, the Commonwealth Court judge spent that the Republican Senate could not take a trial because the dismissal materials in the House of Representatives did not fulfill the seat standards.

One of the senior Republicans, 2022 Candidate Candidate Senator Doug Masteriano, who in particular opposed the isolation of Krasner, “Philadelphia: They want Krasner – they love him. This is a great mandate.”

While there was a decrease in murders over a year in 2023, Philadelphia witnessed an increase of 351 in the year when he took office in 2018 to 562 in 2021. Krasner also stopped charges of some crimes such as Marguana’s possession, and the cash guarantee of some perpetrators was eliminated, and they generally passed more than the street verafts.

In the city where the mayor of James Kenny at the time danced on social media to celebrate its start as a city of Malaz, Krasner continued to refuse to honor the requests for detention of ice, saying that leaving the federalists telling him from unconstitutional prison. Krasner’s support from about $ 1.45 million in the Political Action Committee has also led to the American Hungarian billionaire George Soros also criticized.
