Finally, we received our hands on the TCL QM7K Mini Award, winner of the Top Tech of Ces 2025. Earlier this year, we reviewed QM6K and was affected by its value and performance, so we are excited to put the QM7K through its steps.
TCL still impresses in the medium term and I am pleased to say, did not disappoint QM7K. The miniature -led screen technology makes great offers with incredible variations at reasonable prices for the normal consumer, and TCL appears what technology can do with this new input.
There is a good opportunity because this is not the last model that we hear from TCL this year, as the company has turned into an amazing version of its 2025 models, but for the time being, let’s fall into QM7K and everything it offers.

The affordable price means building less installment
QM7K targets that the middle floor at reasonable prices between real budget TV and the leading models today. It aims to be accessible to most consumers, especially in the smaller models of 55 or 65 inches.
So I couldn’t say I was very shocked when I started canceling the wrapping and assembly of QM7K that I found that its construction was somewhat flimsy.
The TV holder is designed as a single central piece, unlike the individual QM6K legs, which makes its attachment to the QM7K a clear process. It was ignored to look like the metal, but the metal is not.
The Plastic T -stand pregnant weighs about 5 pounds and does its work in the 85 -inch model contract we tested for this review.
The TV itself weighs only 75 lbs, with the help of almost a fully made frame of plastic. The savings should come from a place to strike these price points, right? The good news is that this makes assembly much easier than high -end models (albeit more stable).
QM7K swings slightly at any time to transfer it or the furniture that he sits on, but it keeps safe enough so that it does not go anywhere.
A decent voice, nothing explodes
The sound on the TCL QM7K is described as a better sound than QM6K, thanks to the Bang & OlufSen sound upgrade, which TCL says it will provide “more accurate sound quality for an audio experience for the improvement of the improved home theater.” All in all, the 2.2 loudspeakers system works around it as expected for a model often at reasonable prices. This means, it didn’t seem terrible, but it was not great.
Al -Jahir’s response left a lot of what is desirable, but it is not as if I was expecting a 6 -inch, TV. Dialogue can sometimes look confused, and slightly mixes with soundtrack or background noise.
This really happened only in extensive scenes where everything is combined in loud music, dialogue and sound effects in my voice. QM7K originally supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ Audio, but the integrated speakers do not do it.
Since this model supports Dolby Atmos Passhrough, it will be better with the Dolby Atmos audio tape, or another dedicated audio system to get the maximum benefit from the Dolby Voice available on most broadcast platforms.
Fine color directly outside the box
QM7K is characterized by a number of viewing files from which users can choose, but for our purposes, we will focus on the exit mode, which was first added on QM6K. This mode was designed for color resolution, and there was a spot outside the box.
QM7K first tested in SDR while we were in the exit position, and we delivered impressive color delta from 0.8. While this has decreased beyond zero after calibration, this is not frankly necessary, as the human eye is struggling to distinguish between the delta less than 1.0, which makes the exit position more than enough.
More than bright enough
If you are looking to move the eyes from your sockets while watching the night, the QM7K is the right TV for you. TCL announces the brightness of the 3000 February peak in HDR for QM7K, although this varies by size and will differ slightly by plate.
In my test, I managed to get one explosion of 2400 nit in the HDR test in a 10 % window with brightness, peak frying, and dynamic rear lighting all to the maximum. More stable readings in HDR came in about 2000 groups on peak brightness. The peak brightness measurements in SDR came in 1600 networks that are still very respectful.
If you want to have the best color accuracy and contradiction from the QM7K with minimal pieces and unification as much as possible, you are likely to see the exit position in its virtual composition, which still provides 800 sets with brightness turning to 100 while keeping this other transmitted rear light.
My pain with reflections
While the brightness of the QM7K is more than delivering, nothing can escape the fact that the screen itself was very reflective. Do not make me mistake, I have seen worse, but if the living room is like me and has windows for TV, you will find yourself waking up to close it every time you run the TV during the day.
I do not take repercussions when sunlight flows into the windows in the middle of the day, as this problem continues in the evening when the sun already begins. With brightness settings, QM7K can handle a bright room as you can throw it, but any kind of light source will be thrown directly in front of the screen from your viewpoint and remains completely visible even in bright scenes.
Wonderful image in general
All in all, TCL QM7K provides an amazing image of its price point. Without going away from weeds, I will say that a lot of great technology – like a small intense lens in the rear lighting system, help focus on light and direct light from each small LED index, and the low visual distance, which is the space between the rear lighting and the LCD screen – Helps create an image with excellent contrast.
These technologies also help reduce the aura in HDR, as they lead to a lower scattered light. QM7K really shows that the mini lead Qled panels take the battle to OLED, which brings the image quality at the excellent level to your living room without cost you a small wealth.
The value is still the focus
TCL has continued to influence panel technology and image quality while maintaining a cycle pricing. The 85 -inch model that we tested slightly more than two months ago has been launched, and is already sold by all main retailers and TCL at about 30 % of the original MSRP of $ 2500.
Currently, this means that you can pick up QM7K 85 inches for $ 1,800, and 55 inches are currently distinguished to less than 900 dollars. Find these prices to continue to decline over the year, especially as we reach the holiday season.
The TCL QM7K is an impressive entry that wipes the line between the pioneer and the average performance while staying strongly in the world of medium -range prices. I will wait for any TCL launch impatiently. We hope it will come this year.
