I can’t choose between Google and Apple, and it just got much harder

When I watched the keyword for Google I/O 2025, there were many products demonstrations that really emerged for me, not only because it was technically impressive and exciting, but also because none of them could imagine that Apple appeared during a general presentation in the same way.
It sparked an old battle inside me. What is the best approach? The amazing Google and “Moonshots” that may or not be really useful, or even become products that I can buy, Apple and carefully root them in the real world, benefits and everything?
Beam, Swandar
The demonstration that sparked my internal struggle was more than Google Beam. If you missed, the Beam is the “Amnesty International Video Etilation”, which has evolved from the Google Starline project. In I/O, the Google showed the devices that you developed for Beam, which consist of cameras and sensors attached to the giant TV, and with the AI algorithms based on the group of the orbits, it creates a three -dimensional version of the person on the other side of your call.
It is made for companies, and it is very likely to see the full 3D effect on the video, but this was not important. It is very future, slightly crazy and completely convincing. It really made me want to try it. Video calls were a player in the match for years, and although they are quite good as they are, they cannot repeat the feeling that they are in the same room with the other person. Google Beam is a product of the future. It is a step closer to Star Wars-Like stereoscopic pictures and Star TrekLike Holo floors, that is why I love this concept. Google has been proudly offered, but since I cannot buy it or even use it yet, it is a technical show “see what we can do” and a little more.
I can’t see Apple displaying a product ever such as Google Beam, with its thick frame to hide the cameras, sensors matches, and a huge room. Google has shown a beam as Project Starline before, something you’ll never do with a new product. However, the Apple beam competitor (in the event of something like this at all) will definitely be for consumers, and when he showed whether it is likely to have the date of issuance and a continuous price. Assuming that I do not start working on one of the companies where Google and Beam Partner Hp are with her, I may never see her in real life. What’s more, knowing how Google can give up projects, it will not surprise me if they are never expanded beyond the few initial companies on board, and certainly not for consumers. The thing is, I do not care. I am pleased to know that it is at all.
Welcome to the future

The Google Beam concept appears to be mature to Apple air conditioning using IPHONE, Lidar, Apple TV and FaceTime cameras. Perhaps Apple works on such a thing? I will never know the certainty until the company decides to show it, and if it is working on something similar that does not make it go beyond the stage of the initial model, it is certain that I will never know that. The Apple puzzle is part of its attractiveness, but Google’s willingness to show us its ideas.
When Apple offers a new product, I can be completely sure that at some point in the non -far -long future, I will be able to buy it. AirPower’s power is always offered as an example of Apple’s failure to serve, but it was alien. A better example of the way Apple deals with its advanced devices is the Apple Vision Pro, which was disturbed and later released, and I didn’t think it once won’t I graduated, just that I knew that I would not be able to tolerate it when that happened.
For Keynote conferences all over the world from Apple (WWDC) this year, we will likely get to know Apple Vision Pro 2, and even if it is another humor, there is no doubt that completely will happen later later. I can be somewhat sure whether on the stage in WWDC 2025, it will be a real product at the end of its development, not a “moon”. After I/O 2025 chaos, it would be refreshing, as if Google is Android XR, its smart glasses, and the project’s project headphones into one exciting piece at the end of its main offer 2025, still feels long and experimental.
Android XR experience

I do not mean experimental in a bad way, but “we are still doing all this, but look at what we have already done.” Smart glasses were preliminary models, at least one of the live illustrations did not succeed as intended, and there is no final date of any of them Ever. Google itself does not seem to issue a pair of pixels, leaving Warby Parker, Gentle Monster and KERING EYEWEAR to work all of this.
Project Moohan, Android XR headphone is still made of Samsung, just a picture presented on a screen regardless of a few limited illustrations. But Android XR was shown in different different ways, it gave us an early look at what the team is working behind the scenes. I felt the experience because I got the impression that illustrations are the minute that engineers play in the office. This is not a criticism, that’s what I want to see.
When Apple appears to us, or, or if, a pair of smart glasses, it will not be a “look at me”. It will be because they are almost ready for sale. There are rumors about such a product, but that’s all. We fully know that Google will be behind a new wave of upcoming smart glasses, well, some time in the future. We knew this for a while, because it takes this pleasure to show what the future hides. Apple will tell us when the future arrives, not a moment before.
Two different approaches

Although I do not think Apple is interested in Google Beam devices at this stage, you should see what Google does with Android XR, because I moved away from the keyword that you want the Moohaan headphones for the project and a pair of Android XR smart glasses. I never had the same feeling towards Apple Vision Pro, all due to Apple’s failure to build a convincing XR platform, to be accessible, lure products and a range of products like Google.
This is where Google’s approach works better than Apple. I can see what Google planned, and although I really don’t know if it will completely implement its plans (or even stick to them, in the long run), I expect the future and excited to learn how products in the early stage have evolved into devices I can buy. Google looks noisy, active, bold and ready to bear the risks, and hung the consequences. I realize that part of what I see (and imagine) may never reach me, or that exciting projects may fall or be canceled. The Jacquard project comes to mind, as I couldn’t try a Levi jacket before the project is over.
Less chaos, more predictable arrangement
Does Google’s openness around her experiences sometimes lead to disappointment? Yes. Is this worse than being completely aware of what Apple works in the future, outside some rumors? Yes, and not. Apple product finals are the best in several ways. I do not enjoy distress without any payment. I want to see something new and wonderful, then I presented knowledge when I can buy it and how much I will pay. But at the same time, I would like to know what is going on in the depth of the Apple headquarters, even if it turns out that some of what I showed is a technical show and nothing more.
Google I/O 2025’s keyword was more convincing than recent years, and she left me more conflict than ever about whether I am the best openness, with the warning it will not be seen again, or if it is carefully meaningless Apple is the best because my expectations cannot be kept. Less chaos, more predictable arrangement. I simply cannot choose between them, and in the end I expect to love both.
