LA Mayor Bass faces backlash for opposing ICE raids on illegal immigrants

Los Angeles Democratic Mayor Karen Bass faced a violent reaction to social media on Friday, including members of the Trump administration, to return him to immigration and customs raids targeting illegal immigrants in her city.
“This morning, we received reports on federal immigration enforcement procedures at multiple locations in Los Angeles,” Bass said in a statement on Friday.
“As a prime minister of a proud immigrant city, they contribute to our city in several ways, I feel the deep anger of what happened. These tactics cultivate terrorism in our societies and disrupt the basic principles of safety in our city. My office is closely coordinating with the immigrant rights community organizations. We will not defend this.”
