Howden expands in Peru with Innova Re purchase

The Insurance Company has acquired Howden Innova Re, the reinsurance broker in Lima, Peru, where it has created a new reinsurance in the country.

The purchase process is said to complement the current retail operations of the company, as it employs 215 people.

Innova started its operations in 2017 under the leadership of the founder and CEO Juan Diego Kadarsu.

It specializes in commercial lines including property insurance, aviation and civil liability insurance.

Diego said: “Since the establishment of INNOVA Re in 2017, we have chosen Howdeen as our business partner-a relationship based on common values ​​and the first customer’s mentality. To become part of Howdeen today is the natural development of that partnership,” said Diego.

“It enables us to better serve our customers by accessing a global network, data, advanced analyzes and specialized global expertise.”

The acquisition is part of the Howard Peru’s growth plan, as it aims to provide an integrated service to customers, insurance companies and employees throughout Latin America.

The deal follows the last appointment of the April McLeulin as the administrative director of Judine Miami, with the intention of expanding reinsurance services in the region.

Earlier this year, Howdeen acquired Barnett Waddingham, a UK consultant providing a set of services including insurance, risk management, pensions and investments.
