Hundreds of CDC staff rehired by HHS after earlier layoffs from DOGE

First on the fox: The Ministry of Health and Humanitarian Services (HHS) appoints more than 450 employees previously launched to multiple departments at the Agency Centers to control and prevent diseases (CDC), according to HHS official who is familiar with the issue.

The workers appointed from four different operating departments comes within the center of diseases control. These divisions include the National HIV Center, viral hepatitis, the role of sexually transmitted and tuberculosis (NCHSTP), the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), the immediate office of the director (ID) and the Global Center for World Health at the GHC Center (GHC).

This step follows the rest of the Trump administration’s sweeping efforts to reorganize HHS and its sub -operations during the first few months, which mentioned reports that include up to 10,000 layoffs in various health agencies. This is also followed by multiple procedures by the Trump administration after those workers to rehabilitate some of the HHS employees who were initially left, such as those in the World Health Center of the Center for Disease Control Center (WTCHP), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the National Institutes of Health.
