Soon after the announcement of the customs tariff policies on April 2, for almost every American trading partner, the Trump administration chose to create a 90 -day stop to give countries an opportunity to conclude an agreement with the United States.
Trump indicated during the gag with the correspondents before the Kennedy Center’s performance on Wednesday that the United States is still taking place with about 15 countries that are still trying to strengthen a deal. But the president said that he intends to send messages to these partners and set tariff prices if there is no agreement.
“We are dealing with Japan. We are dealing with South Korea. We are dealing with many of them. We deal with about 15 countries. But as you know, we have about 150, and you can’t do that [make a deal with all of them]. So we will send messages within a week and a half about two weeks, to the countries and tell them what the deal is. “
Trump’s tariff strategy can pay its tax bill, but only if they hold, experts warn
“At a certain stage, we will just send messages … saying this is the deal, you can take it or leave it,” Trump added.
