Andor Creator Tony Gilroy Doesn’t Consider A Key Rogue One Relationship Canon

This article contains Spoilers For the end of “AndOr” season 2.

The gap between the “AndOr” seasons 1 and 2 left a large area for the masses to theorizing regarding what the second batch of the “Star Wars” series might bring. Although it was always clear that the Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona) would continue to play a major role in the story, Cassian andor (Diego Luna), perhaps many had not only guessed with the central arc of romance in “Andor”. Unbreakable links.

The end of “Andor” season 2 sees that Bix escapes the war violent against the empire, and also gave birth to a child with Kasian. It is a beautiful moment, but it might have surprised the fans who previously read romantic traces of Kasyan’s relationship with Jin Eerso (Velicity Jones) in “Rogue One”.

The bidder Toni Gelry, who led Major -re -writing and reformulated on “Rogue One”, recently adopted this fact in an interview with Collider. “I felt bad for the people who invested a lot of time in the fans’ imagination and such things,” Gilroe said. “It is not considered a law, and this is not something that I should show legally, in this matter, but people worked hard on those things, and this means a lot for them,” he explained. “You don’t want to trample on a person’s flower garden, do you know? But I have to do what I have to do.”

Jin and Cassian’s relationship can be meaningless without being romantic

It is normal in any story with a strong bond between two main characters for at least some fans to read romantic intentions. Cassian and JYN have a particularly charged end to their relationship (as well as their lives) through a pair of scenes after obtaining Death Star plans safely from Scarif. First, there is a faintly lit elevator journey, which features a common appearance of deep connection. Then there is a manual governorate on the beach while they were waiting for the wave of the death of the star of death to destroy it.

“I knew what happened with Jin and Kasyan in” Rogue One “and what happened in the elevator,” Gilliwi told Collider. “I was really pleased to see how we liberated it, that it was really mysterious about what it was.” Gilroy compare the link between Jyn and Cassian with any other strong Platonic connection that was built in times of struggle – which carries a great meaning, but it does not necessarily need to be associated with a romantic relationship. However, he feels at least badly bad for the two trucks there. “I am sure that someone will not overcome it,” Gilroy said. “I apologize. I really do.”

Even as “Rogue One” appeared, there were many who argued against a romantic reading of Kasyan and the latter. The film avoids a lot of stereotypes by not having a kiss, and their moment on the beach is more powerful because it is purely human, rather than being charged with a kind of tragic love.

Bix impact on Cassian can be felt at the end of Rogue One

Bix Cassian may leave without giving him an option in “AndOr”, but it does not seem to carry any discontent. He realizes why she had to go, and why she thought he had to stay – convinced that he comes to participate in that time “Rogue One”. During the film, it seems that he is sometimes disappointed with the task of rebellion, so that Jane’s renewed Jin is convinced by his enthusiasm again that their work is the most important thing.

On the beach, waiting for death, Cassian is not sad in the future that he will not have. It seems completely in peace, using his few words to ensure Jin is more concerned that her father was proud of her – that her sacrifices, although she is impossible, is worthy of it. This version of Kasian sees Bix. Knowing that knowing her pregnancy will push him away from the rebellion, she leaves, although she will destroy them alike.

However, Cassian finds new human connections with comrades such as Phil Marsai and Melchi (Denkan Book), then with Jin. These bonds reflect the spirit of rebellion, and the war of stars as a whole – a story about the ties of life that is not fractured and kinship that will always resist abnormal persecution. “Why don’t you hold someone’s hand at the end of the world?” Gelroy said to the collision.
