The superintelligence era has begun

Openai Sam Altman president has announced that humanity has crossed the era of artificial cancellation – and there is no return back.

The road to Superintelligence

Altman shows a timetable for the supernatural cancellation that might let many readers examine their calendars.

By next year, “agents who can do real cognitive work” are expected to arrive mainly on software development. The following year, it can bring “systems that can discover new visions” – Amnesty International that generates original discoveries rather than just addressing current knowledge. By 2027, we may see “robots that can carry out tasks in the real world.”

It seems that every prediction jumps beyond the former in power, as it drew an unambiguous line that indicates intelligence – systems that greatly outperform the human capabilities of man across most fields.

“We do not know how far the intelligence goes beyond the human level, but we are about to know that,” says Altman.

This progress sparked a fierce discussion among experts, as some of these capabilities remain decades away. However, Altman’s timetable indicates that Openai has internal evidence of this accelerated path, which has not yet yet been known.

Comments episode that changes everything

What makes the development of current artificial intelligence uniquely is what Altman calls “the larvae version of self-improvement”-the ability of artificial intelligence today to help researchers build a more capable tomorrow’s systems.

“Advanced AI is interesting for many reasons, but perhaps nothing is exactly important like the fact that we can use it to conduct research faster than artificial intelligence,” he explains. “If we can conduct a search for a decade within a year or a month, it is clear that the rate of progress will be completely different.”

Despite the possible effect, Altman believes that many aspects of human life will maintain its familiar features. People will continue to make meaningful relationships, create art, and enjoy simple pleasures.

According to Altman, the silver lining is that “the world will become so richer so much that we will be able to entertain seriously in new political ideas that we have not been able to do before.”

Amid these predictions, Altman defines a challenge that keeps artificial intelligence safety researchers awake at night: ensuring that Superintyligent systems are coherent with human values ​​and intentions.

Altman stipulates the need to solve “the problem of alignment, which means that we can ensure that we get the artificial intelligence systems strongly and act towards what we want collectively in the long run.” It contradicts this with social media algorithms that increase participation by exploiting psychological weaknesses.

This is not just a technical but existential issue. If the cancellation process appears without strong alignment, the consequences may be devastating. However, determining “what we really want collectively” will be almost impossible in a diverse world society with competing values ​​and interests.

Openai builds a global brain
