Lisa Brown Langley, a vocabulary of Chrome Martha, known today as La Brown, said that she will never forget today in London with her father, Phil Brown, in 1992 – and how a single comment set out in her heart for years.

On that day in London, her thirtieth birthday was close.

Her father turned to her and smiled and said: “It is time to buy something that I gave him every woman in our family.” He added, to be surprised, “Hermes scarf.”

It was an expensive gift – one of them considered a treasure for the person he was wearing.

But unlike the other family recipients-her mother, her grandmother, aunt and sisters-the daughter felt that one of these classic silk accessories will not resonate with her free personality.

She told her father frankly, “Dad, I am very appreciated. But, you know me – I am an artist. I will not wear an expensive scarf.”

The moment she said these words, she wanted to retreat, she was concerned about hurting her father’s feelings.

Four years later, her father suffered from leukemia and died.

Her heart suffered from his death while she opened the tears of the guilt she kept in a special place for a long time.

A spiral ball can remain in sadness – or it can choose to assemble its life together.

She could not shake deep regret because something very important to her dear father – his way of saying, “You are dear” – was allowed to behed to reject her.

After bearing the weight of her grief for weeks, she concluded that she had two options.

She can either keep a spiral ball in sadness – or she can choose to assemble her life together, and honor her father’s dream for her by becoming a wonderful photographer that I think can always be.

She chose the latter.

Today La Brown is a famous photography artist.

Twenty years have passed. Brown was approaching 50 when she and her husband wandered in London stores.

While they were wandering through the front of the Hermes store, your awareness jumped. Was this the same store – who visited her with her father on that day? You could not say.

She did not participate with her husband, the story of her father, and how she was saddened for years by refusing his gentle offer to buy one of these scarves.

And how she wished that she had told her father how much this gift would really mean to her.

“It was not after that … but it He is “I am now,” said sadly.

Her husband looked at her. “Do you want one of those scarves on your birthday?”

She immediately saw this a moment when she needed to choose her words wisely, so that she would not hurt her husband’s feelings exactly as she was hurting her father.

She replied, “No – I now realize that buying this scarf for me was important to my father. The truth is, if you are not from my father, it will not be the same.”

Two days later, and they returned to their home in Martha Fenard, Brown saw that a package arrived from her aunt.

There was a handwritten note: “Don’t open until your birthday.”

You couldn’t wait.

She sat down, separated from the cover, her hand slipped into the box – and touched something silky.

She closed her eyes, took a breath.

It was Hermes scarf.

Her tears in her eyes were reading the note from her aunt Nan: “Dear Lisa, this scarf was given to your grandmother by your father. Now that you went … I thought you wanted it.”
