The 2025 race for the New York City mayor is tightening, as former state governor Andrew Komo shrinks at a week from a week to go to the Democratic Democratic Party mayor on June 24.
The Marist Opinion Institute for Public Opinion, issued on Wednesday, shows that the former three-term ruler-is the best choice for 38 % of potential Democratic voters in New York City.
Cuomo, who resigned in 2021 amid multiple scandals, is now looking forward to political return and working to recover his image.
Zoran Mamdani, a member of the 33 -year -old Social Democratic State, stands from Queens, second in the poll, with 27 % support in the introductory elections, which is used using the ranking option voting system where voters are the preference for their votes.

Mamdani, who was originally from Uganda, cut off Como’s progress by about half of the Marist poll that was conducted a month ago, thanks to this, partially to unify the gradual support in the primary field of candidate 11.
Progressive MP Alexandria Okasio Cortez, the most prominent leader of the New York City on the left, supported Mamdani earlier this month. Earlier this week, the Progressive Champion has long supported the democratic presidential candidate twice the Senator Bernie Sanders Mamdani.
With many candidates on the left in the introductory elections, OCASIO-Cortez and Sanders approvals aim to unify the support of progressive voters behind Mamdani.

“It is clear that Mamdani is in the rear vision mirror in Komo,” Lee Merringov, the Marist polling director, told Fox News.
The poll indicates that the New York City Observer Brad Lander is the distant third in the primary battle.
The survey was conducted from June 9 to 12, before the final discussion between the candidates and before Landnder was arrested on Tuesday by the Ministry of Internal Security Agents in Manhattan, after he assaulted a federal officer while Lander tried to accompany one of the defendants from a immigration court.

The poll was also conducted before the launch of Blitz AD wondering about the Mamdani experience that leads a city of more than 8 million people.
“Zahran Mamdani, a 33 -year -old, who has approved only three bills with employees that you can put inside an elevator in New York.” “We need a person ready to roll. Andrew Como managed to manage and manage the state, from Kovid to Trump.”

“This is the second poll in two days, Andrew Como showed the beginning and ended the selection of the rank with a two -digit vote in a race consisting of return to the real experience and operation of the number. The right track,” said a counselor and spokesperson for Komo Rich Azobardi, when he was asked by Fox News about the new Marist poll.
Komo, 67, has spent the past four years of fighting to clarify his name after 11 accusations of sexual harassment, which he has repeatedly denied, forced his resignation. He was also under investigation at the time because of his dealings with the Covid-19 pandemic, amid allegations that his administration was greatly reduced by Covid’s deaths in government nursing homes.

Last month, the Ministry of Justice opened a criminal investigation in Komo after the Republicans accused him of lying to congress about the decisions he made as a ruler during the Koronaf virus.
More than 130,000 Democrats have already led to an early vote in the democratic preliminary elections, before the elections next Tuesday.

The winner of the preliminary elections of the Democratic Party is seen traditionally as the overwhelming candidate in the general elections in November in the Blue City.
However, the general electoral campaign may be more predictable this year.
Current Mayor Eric Adams, a moderate democratic elected in 2021, is nominated for his re -election as an independent. Adams dropped earlier this year his democratic democratic presentation, as his approval rankings were sank on its lowest historical levels.

Komo and many other candidates in the race strongly criticized Trump’s recent move to put the National Guard and US Marine Corps in Los Angeles in an attempt to suppress the turmoil raised by an increase in the ice detention of illegal immigrants organized by the administration.
Candidates pledge to protect the city from what they suggest is the possible federal campaign against immigration protests in New York City.
