US bombs nuclear sites in Iran

Donald Trump said that the United States struck three nuclear sites in Iran, joined Israel’s attacks on the country and attracting America into another war in the Middle East.

The president said that the American planes dropped the bombs on Ford, Natanz and Asphan in an attempt to disrupt the ability of the nuclear enrichment of the Islamic Republic and regained their alleged endeavor to a atomic weapon.

“Tonight, I can inform us of the world that the strikes were amazing military success. The main nuclear enrichment facilities in Iran have been completely obliterated.” Trump said in a speech late at night.

Trump said that Iran now needs “peace making” and threatened more intense attacks on the Islamic Republic if it did not.

“The future attacks will be much larger and easier,” Trump said.

“This cannot continue. There will be either peace or there will be a much greater tragedy for Iran than what we have seen over the past eight days. Remember that there are many remaining goals.”

Trump’s decision to strike Iran is escalating the conflict in the Middle East, which has been in a state of turmoil since Hamas’s attack on Israel in 2023. This comes shortly after a few weeks after Israel fired missiles in Iran and Tehran responds with amazing targets in Israel.

The attack brings the risk of Iranian revenge against the United States, especially on the military bases and ships in the region, as well as a potential turmoil in oil supplies from the most important energy production area in the world.

On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi accused the United States of “a serious violation of the United Nations Charter.” “This morning, this morning will have serious consequences,” he wrote.

“Iran maintains all options to defend its sovereignty, interest and people,” Aragchchi added.

In a letter to the United Nations Secretary -General, Iran also called for an emergency meeting of the Security Council.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu benefited from Trump’s bold decision, saying that the American strikes against Iran will change history.

“In a work tonight against Iranian nuclear facilities, America was not really unprecedented. It has done what no other country on Earth could do,” he said.

But the Israeli authorities also took defensive measures, completely closed the airspace and put the internal front on the “basic” activity, indicating that the Iranian revenge was expected. Both restrictions have been partially raised in recent days.

American attacks refer to a major turning point for Trump, who carried out a period of his second presidency on charges of pledging to be a peacemaker who ended “Forever Wars”.

It is a political gamble for the president, which is divided into the Maga base between hawks and those who believe that the United States should remain outside foreign conflicts.

Trump announced that the attacks earlier on Saturday on the social truth platform said that the planes had dropped a “full load of bombs” in Ford, and they were all on their way home.

“The Iranian nuclear program is a serious threat to international security. Iran cannot be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, and the United States has taken measures to alleviate this threat,” said the UK Prime Minister Sir Kerr Starmer on Sunday.

He added: “The situation in the Middle East is still volatile and stability in the region is a priority.” “We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis.”

Iranian officials confirmed the strike on three nuclear sites, according to the government media.

The BUNKER-PUSTER, which was carried by B-2, was the best opportunity to destroy the uranium enrichment facility in Iran in Fordow, which was deeply buried under a mountain.

The shelling raid comes after two decades of discussion in the United States about whether he will attack Iran, and seven years after Trump withdrew his country from a nuclear agreement with Tehran, President Barack Obama agreed.

Trump said on Saturday that he discussed attacks with Netanyahu, who urged the United States to attack Iranian nuclear sites for years.

Trump said: “We have worked as a team like perhaps no team before, and we have come a long way to erase this terrible threat to Israel,” Trump said.

Iran’s advisor told parliament that Tehran was expecting an attack on Ford.

“From Iran’s point of view, nothing happened is very strange,” Mahdi Mohammadi wrote on X.

“For several nights, Iran was waiting for an attack on Ford. The site was evacuated for a while now and has not had irreversible damage from the attack.”

After he initially appeared that he was deviating from the conflict, Trump has circulated in recent days whether it would include the American army in Israel’s efforts to dismantle the Iranian nuclear program.

On Thursday, he seemed to have provided Iran for two weeks to reach a diplomatic solution.

Joseph Votel, retired general who led the US Central Command, which supervises the American forces in the Middle East, said that Trump and his team participated in an attempt to hide the timing of the attack, including the president’s timetable for two weeks.

“It is quite clear that there is a deception plan in place,” said Votel, who held the position of Centcom Center for the first two years from Trump’s first term.

Earlier on Saturday, the B-2 bombings seemed to fly into a buffer from their base in Missouri. It was not clear whether these bombers had carried out attacks on Iran or whether the launchers were published from Diego Garcia.

Falcons in Republican Foreign Policy in congress chanted with the president’s military action. “This was the correct invitation,” said American Senator Lindsi Graham.

However, some of the president’s critics said he overcome his constitutional authority.
