Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 review: the new king of Chromebooks

The world of Chromebooks has MacBook Air.
Lenovo’s latest Chromebook Plus is a thin arm and double arm with good specifications, excellent battery life, great keyboard, comprehensive solid construction and great OLED screen. But the best part is that its bright plate and the second 14 -inch are standard for the basic configuration of $ 649 or a touch screen for $ 749.
This is cheaper than both Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus and Acer Chromebook Plus with the IPS screen. It is also faster than either with more RAM.
The new Chromebook Plus can be 14 computers for almost anyone-if you are well with Chromeos in the first place, of course.

Lenovo Chromebook Plus begins $ 14 from $ 649 with a Mediaatek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor, 128 GB of storage, 12 GB RAM, and excellent OLED memory. Our review composition costs $ 100, but it seems worth it to double storage, 16 GB RAM, touch screen, and fingerprint reader. It weighs a little more, at 2.78 pounds instead of 2.58 pounds of the basic style. It is somewhat skinny at 0.62 inches, and for outlets, he got two USB-C, USB-A, and 3.5 mm sound socket. The USB-C ports allows you to use up to two external screens from 4K along with the built-in screen, although it is 5 GB per second.

In terms of devices, this laptop is almost no shame, especially for the price. You can get high quality 1920 x 1200 /60 Hz OLED, which is not distinguished in terms of accuracy and update, but the color and contrast are sure. There is a lot of random access memory compared to most other Chromebooks, and the keyboard feels the same as Lenovo Pricivo. The loudspeakers are very good, making a full sound for music and podcasts, and they can be very loud. My only small comments were with a webcam, which looks well regardless of a green dye, and the cheap loud click in the mechanical tracking panel.
The Chromebook Plus 14 performance is impressive, especially as it is completely silent without a fan like MacBook Air. The Mediaatek processor consisting of 8 nucleus is 16 GB of RAM is strong enough to easily handle with many Chrome tabs operate via desktop devices. You have downloaded some documents to Notebooklm in the background, allowing them to create some sound overview, and has never disturbed you to stop using any open tab or Android applications. Lenovo did not break the sweat. I managed to get the Mediaatek chip to slow down a little, but only several times. One of them was an accidental microscopic torture test – CTRL+Shift+T several times to reopen a set of chrome tabs and file applications.

Frankly, Chromebooks are mature enough these days that you should expect more than adequate performance of multiple daily tasks – and offers the new Lenovo. You can do almost anything in the web browser these days, and you can fill the ability to run Android and Linux applications a lot of remaining gaps. But some gaps remain.
Zoom was – whether in the browser, Android app, or “Zoom for Chromebook” application on the progressive web – the chaos of the animal carts. The Linux version of Slack did not succeed, since Slack has no version of its Linux app assembled for the ARM slices. I can get a fine using Slack in the browser, although I prefer it as an independent application. So keep in mind that the laptop structure may complicate things if you plan to use Linux applications.

Improving applications can reduce the battery life, but the Lenovo 60WH chip and the energy that drops the energy make it a battery hero regardless of. On a light day runs to run the Chrome tab, the gradual web applications, and the Android version of Spotify, I can easily use Chromebook Plus 14 from the start of the working day at approximately 8 am to the evening depth. It started daily with a 77 percent battery, and used it for nine hours with minimal preparation time, and crossed at 5 pm with about 20 percent still in the tank. Perhaps you can get several days of this thing if you are keen.

This battery life, along with Lenovo’s total performance and an excellent screen, makes it an easy recommendation. X86 Chromebook will have a better compatibility in Linux, if this is important for you, and this space can turn to this space. But the fact that you can get a touch -based screen version of $ 749, a lower price than other Chromebook Plus models that slow down, this Lenovo makes the best Chromebook offer. It is not a two -in -one conversion like Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714, but it is more powerful and has a more beautiful screen. Galaxy Chromebook also has OLED as Lenovo, but in my test, I found the display to a height of 16: 9 (these should have stayed dead on laptops in 2021), and its numbers make the keyboard feel upset.

Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 feels a suitable successor for the old Pixelbook of Google, with a great screen and specifications with a border line that can actually last for 10 years of promised software updates. It is especially attractive if you want a laptop at reasonable prices, most of which are trouble-free-with the ability to subscribe to some trouble if you want to mess with Linux. This is the king of the new Chromebooks, and generally just a good computers.
