Rep. Suozzi warns Democrats need economic focus after Mamdani primary win

Representative Tom Susie, DN.Y, says that he does not agree to Zahran Mamdani when it comes to his locations, but he said that his democratic colleagues can learn something of democratic socialism – which President Donald Trump mentions.

“You have to realize that he took advantage of something,” Susie said in “Confronting the Nation” on Sunday. “He took advantage of the same thing Donald Trump used, which is that people are concerned that the economy is not working for them.”

“The democratic capitalist”, as he describes himself, in the article of Wall Street Journal last week that Mamadani’s victory in the preliminary elections for democracy should be a “call to wake up loudly to the Democrats.”

“Often, Democrats are not seen as focusing on the ability to afford costs, economics, middle class and people who aspire to the middle class and economic interests,” Suzizi told Weijia Jiang, who was filled with Margaret Brennan.

“They see that the Democrats focus primarily on reproductive rights and on the protection of LGBT, which are important issues, but they are not the issues that people think every night when they are in bed thinking about paying their bills or when they talk about how to send their children to school.”

While Suozzzi does not believe that Trump or Mamadani has the right path forward when it comes to these issues, Democrats can learn to tend to root issues.
