Stan Collymore reacts to expected signings

Arsenal has been busy in the transportation market in the last two weeks, and more than that to come in the Emirates. I have already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi, and can soon be joined by Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

Gyokeres has already agreed on personal terms with Arsenal, who are now hoped to have an agreement with Sporting CP. Madueke is more advanced, as a deal has already been concluded with Chelsea, which means that he will now travel to northern London to end his arrival.

Speaking in his exclusive column Catchofside, Stan Colimore gave his assessment of Arsenal’s decision to move to Giuers and Madewick.

“It is a gamble, but all the attackers are a gambling. I don’t think any of Notingham Forest’s fans believe that Chris Wood will come and that the influence he had there. I think many people think that Holund will come and get at least 10-15 goals in football in Man United.

“I think Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haland only to score 20, 30 and 40 goals in the season. So it is a gambling with Gyokeres, but he will be confident. He has scored a lot in Sporting, and he knows English football, after he was in Brighton, Swansea and Coventry.

“For me, it’s simple: Get the deal via the line. Get it before he feels frustrated, or a team like Man UNITED offers a traditional offer. Arsenal needs to do business. He deserves risk. He deserves gambling, an external striker, something that Arsenal has not had some time now.

“If you are Arsen, I will not go to Noni Madoyk. If they will go to a dynamic, dynamic man who exceeds the players, he has got an additional thing in addition to proving it in his last two seasons, and I will go to EZE.

“Madueke seems very clear. He is in the area. He is coming from a London club, and some players may know in Arsenal. He has been hit a bit in Chelsea. He is talented, but I am not convinced that Madoyk is the usual match like Bocao Saka or Giuers.
