How Liverpool can afford record transfer for Alexander Isak on top of £170m summer spending spree
Liverpool is studying a record offer for Alexander Issak this summer in a move that may witness an increase in its summer spending to 300 million pounds.
The Premier League champions have already dramatically spent on the current transfer window, and although no official offer has yet been made, discussions about a possible package of 130 million pounds of £ and ilkac are rolling.
It will be a great escalation since last summer, when Liverpool spent only 10 million pounds on Federico Chiesa and 25 million pounds on Giorgi Mamardashvili.
The club’s employment this summer already includes a British record, the midfielder, Florian Wesroz, signed by Bayer Leverkusen for 116 million pounds, in addition to the back Milos Kerkrak (40 million pounds) and Jeremy Fribong (30 million pounds).

Despite the size of their spending, Liverpool is still in a healthy financial position due to many developments that enhance revenue.
They have received about 175 million pounds from the prize money from the 2024-25 holders of the title, and they will also benefit from a full season of increasing the revenues of the match day after the completion of the expanded Aprild Road End.
It is also reported that a new group with Adidas, which is worth 60 million pounds annually, will also start from August 1, to replace its agreement with NIKE.
These factors, in addition to conservative spending in the last windows, put Liverpool well within the rules of profit and sustainability in the English Premier League, which approach its losses of 105 million pounds during a three -year period.
“They are in incredibly strong PSR mode. Among the first six places, they spent less in this three-year-325 million pounds session-only-and this includes their signature on Florian Witz.
“They still have a lot of volatile space with their transport budget. In addition, the attacker is likely to be paid in installments, which means that the cost can spread over multiple seasons.”
Liverpool’s recent strategy focused on value -based investment rather than spending for spending. Over the past three seasons, the club’s net spending has been relatively modest -4 million pounds, 96 million pounds, and 53 million pounds.
In contrast, competitors such as Manchester United recorded a net of 119 million pounds, 133 million pounds and 190 million pounds during the same period.
Maguire added: “Liverpool has been out of the 10 best hypocrites on players’ signatures since 2019, but its model is a classic state of being smarter instead of greater.”
“The Liverpool model was to ignore noise and buy a player only if they really improved the team. It is a more analytical approach.

“CEO Michael Edwards is doing a great job and never buys players because of external pressure. He is not concerned when fans call for more signatures.
“Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and ISAK are likely to be large signatures, but they all improve the Liverpool team, and REDs get a large group of PSR spaces.”
From another can Issak sign?
Newcastle confirms that Issak is not for sale, and with a three -year stay in his contract, it is likely that the step is likely to pay to go out.
Newcastle, owned by the General Investment Fund in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has a safe position for PSR and there is no financial pressure for sale.
Other elite clubs in the market may find the attacker that a fee of 130 million pounds is difficult to justify. Although Arsenal is financially able to do so – and “it can easily spend more than 200 million pounds” this window, according to Maguire – is expected to end with the Sporting VikTor Gyokeres from Sporting at a price of 63.5 million pounds.
Manchester City is unlikely to enter the striker’s market with Erling Halland and Omar Marmoush already, while Manchester United will need significant sales to finance this step. Meanwhile, Chelsea recently fell attackers, Liam Dilab and Joao Pedro.
