Eddie Hearn On PPV’s Future: Why Big Fights Still Need Pay-Per-View Despite Free Riyadh Season Events On DAZN
Eddie Herne says he still intends to put PPV cards because he needs it to make large battles. He is happy because Turkihik has chosen to make the events of the RIYADH season for free on Dazn. This will not change anything to its events. He will continue to sell the biggest ones that include Anthony Joshua, Kunour Ben, and Chris Yabank Junior.
Hern PPV strategy
“I think PPV is important to take great battles, but I think there are a lot of battles that are paid for each show,” said Eddie Herne for HUB TV, as a reaction to Turki Alalshiph announced the events of his free RIYADH season in Dazn as part of the usual subscription to this platform.
The events that will be shown on PPV on DAZN now should now be the events that fans are interested in paying for them. They will not be excited to see any event that promoters put. Anthony Joshua’s battles on PPV are doubtful because it was washed and has not hit the good heavyweight years ago.
Value for fighting fans
Herne said: “I think last Saturday’s offer. Was that PPV, or was it possible to be part of your subscriptions? Various battles in different places and different time areas,” Herne said. “I think it’s great for DAZN and subscribers because they will now get more PPV battles as part of their subscription, which means that the battle fan will receive more value.”
The PPV card was titled Edgar Berlanga versus Hamzah Sheeraz, worthy of placing it for each offer. The only case was the operation.
Berlanga-SHEERAZ should have been placed three or four depths on the card. Shakur Stefenson was against William Zebida the real main event, and David Morel against Imam Khayf, the real participant. That battle stole the show. That was the best at night in terms of drama.
Herne said: “Will PPV still exist? Certainly. Will it still exist for us? Sure. But many of our offers, we do not make a lot of PPV offers away from Benn-upnk and Joshua and such things. We want offers like Saturday, those big battles, to be part of your subscription to DAZN.”
Anthony Joshua does not bring large numbers of our fans in its events. Now that the return match between Connor Ben and Chris Yabank Junior has become, this is less than PPV that Herne will have the opportunity to put it.
Herne said: “PPV did not die on DAZN, and this is certain. DAZN will continue to do PPV, but there will be more offers as part of your subscription, which I think is great.”
Turkish: Free Dazn effect
What Herne may not realize is that the PPV events that appear on DAZN will bring fewer purchases because fans will spoil many of the free events that TURKI ALALLALSHIKH. He tends to download his cards with excellent battles. Herne and other promoters who choose to put their events on PPV may suffer from fewer purchases.
