Trump administration EPA to cut more than 3,000 jobs, 23% of workforce

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) said on Friday that it plans to reduce its 23 % power and the closure of the Research and Development Office.

The loss of more than 3000 employees comes after the demobilization of workers and incentives to leave the agency amid the extensive efforts of the Trump administration to simplify the federal government.

“Under the leadership of president Trump, the Environmental Protection Agency has given a closer look at our operations to ensure that the agency is more equipped than ever to provide our basic mission of protecting human health and the environment while operating the great return of America,” Lee Zilden, Director of the Environmental Protection Agency said in a statement.

“This reduction in force will ensure that we can do this task better, even though you are designers responsible for the constantly acquired tax dollars.”

The Environmental Protection Agency said the discounts will save the government 748.8 million dollars.

As part of the restructuring, the Environmental Protection Agency said it plans to open a new office for applied science and environmental solutions to replace the Research and Development Office, saying that the new office will allow it to focus on the search “more than ever”.

This comes a week after the Supreme Court issued a ruling on the road before the administration to perform mass demobilization operations.

This announcement also comes two weeks after 139 employees signed a “opposition advertisement”, claiming that the Trump administration was hurting the agency’s mission.
