‘Rent increasing faster than salaries’: Bengaluru’s rent crisis worsens, netizens says ‘It’s like working for landlord’

The high rental prices in Bangalore are pushing the population to the edge, as many described the situation as “unclean”. A viral publication on the social media platform sparked grapes from the high rent that exceeds salaries, as users share their financial struggles.

The most prominent original poster is: “The rents are increasing faster than increasing salaries.” They added, “3 BHK is closer to 90 thousand in the upper regions now. Even in Sarmapor Road/Paylandor near technical gardens, it is at least 70 thousand.”

“This is not sustainable because salaries are not increasing at this rate. I know this about reality,” the user said.

The situation is not limited to Bangalore, as the user pointed out: “Talk to a few friends in Delhi NCR. This is definitely the case in Gurugram and Delhi.” Mumbai? “No points until you talk about that city.”

The echo deployed deeply with users. One of them shared a personal struggle, saying: “My current CTC is the same annual rental. Last year, my country was 8 % while my rent increased by 10. The only savings grace is that I have a two -income family.” I feel sorry, “This is really unfortunate that someone’s income is completely consumed for rent. It seems as if I was working for the owner of the property.”

He advised some severe measures to counter the rental crisis. A user frankly suggested, “His brothers, re -evaluate your lifestyle. Why TF is your rent like your monthly salary? Exit. Look for other areas. Go from distant places.”

Others suggested ownership of the house as a substitute. “Buy an apartment, and push EMI from 50 thousand – at least you are building something for your own.”

Some blame the tenants themselves for fueling the increase in prices. “The Bachelor is ready to take 2/3 BHK for 70,10 people residing there and the exchange of rent. So 7K is much cheaper than PG … single -income families are drunk for a long time.”

As rental prices rise across the major Indian cities, many fear that the situation does not get worse. The question remains: How long can salaries last?
