Insider claims Ferrari close to making team principal announcement amidst reports of Fred Vasseur being fired

The former F1 driver and Pundit Ralf Schumacher claimed that Ferrari is close to expanding Frederick Vasuor’s contract as his team manager. The French joined the team at the beginning of the 2023 season and was a major figure behind their last success in the past two years.

However, there have been rumors about his position in the team in the past two months, due to the amazing start of the Italian team for the 2025 campaign.

He was expected to challenge the uniform of Maranilo, with McLaren, given its strong end for the last season and changing their car for this year. However, the decision did not achieve the desired results because they have not yet won the race despite the completion of the half -season.

In the midst of reports of the launch of Frederick Vaswour, the former Williams F1 driver revealed Sky Deutschland’s Backstage Boxingsse PodCast The 57 -year -old deal can be extended with Ferrari, saying:

“In Ferrari, we hear that they are approaching Farid Vasour and holding negotiations for contracts. The extension will be extremely important to settle within the team. Both drivers are behind him as well.”

Benedito Venia, Ferrari CEO, talked about the topic of Vasseur contract to Sky Germany and said:

“The future of Vasour? It is the team manager, it is July, and we are discussing. We have had lunch together …”

Vasour did not indicate any comments on his contract and did not take into account his discussions with Venia.

Ferrari team coach suffers from the Belgian weekend

Friedrich Vaswour, Ferrari team manager, stated that they worked hard to bring promotions to the Francorclamm spa track in the Belgian Grand Prix race this weekend.
