White House halts Hegseth’s use of polygraphs in media leak investigation

The White House pulled the plug on Defense Minister Beit Higseth for lying tests to collect leaks, according to a report.
The Washington Post reported that Patrick Weaver, a current adviser to Hegseth, warned high -ranking administration officials that he could soon be forced to provide a test of lying detection. This prompted a call to Higseth to drop the lying detector tests.

The investigation of the identification of the leaks inside the Ministry of Defense began in late March with a note from Joe Kasper, then the Chief of Staff of Higseth.
Casper wrote in the March 21 note: “The recent unauthorized disclosure of national security information that involves sensitive contacts with school principals in the office of the Minister of Defense requests an immediate and comprehensive investigation.”

Kasper added: “The use of lying to implement this investigation will be in accordance with the applicable law and policy.”
The White House and the Pentagon did not immediately respond to the Fox News request for comment.

Revelation is the latest controversy in the Pentagon, which earlier this year bearing the “Signalgate” scandal. Discussions on military action have been leaked between Higseth and a group of senior Trump officials, although they are conducting on the encrypted application.
