The X-E5 is the perfect travel camera if you can justify the price

X-E5 is the small Fujifilm power. It is part of a group of cameras that are often described as similar to the X100, except for a switch lens. But the XE line has evolved this year and takes a new form. It is used to be seen as a budget option, but at a price of $ 1699, it is no longer possible to say.

Despite the fact that I used almost every Fuji there, this was the first time I played with any XE camera line. X-E5 is a great, small and elegant camera with sharp lines throughout the body, with buttons and a transverse edge for some additional taste and a distinctive appearance. He is very shorter and thickened than X100VI, but weighs himself when he associated with one of Fujifilm pie lenses. It is difficult to keep your eyes and hands. During the past few weeks using the camera, I had a lot of people asking me about it. Two even assumed that he might be Leica.

Camera construction feels incredibly solid. The faces and buttons are very click. Even the side door only feels right. The hinges on a strong face screen, and can be turned along the way for some blog, too. All these small details are important and make the camera feel distinctive, but unfortunately, this camera is not closed with weather (something you also expect for this price).

XE’s new feature is the dedicated movie simulation disk. We have seen another Fujis adding it, but this was the first time I used it. I rarely turn between film simulations because I have a few of my country, which sticks to 99 percent of the time. But the phone call makes providing these SIMS easier, and encouraged me to experience much more than before.

When it comes to the video, you get 6.2 kg up to 30 frames per second and 1080 pixels to 240 frames per second. X-E5 can also film in the F-Log and F-Log 2 colors, so there are a lot of post-processing length lines, which will match well with other Fujifilm cameras. And there are HLG HDR as well. The roller is not the greatest, although it is far from the bad. But the X-E5 should not be the main video camera for two big reasons: video mode negatively affects this battery, and it has faced temperature after 13 minutes of continuous photography.

As we mentioned earlier, this Fuji has been equipped with the same sensor that we have seen for a few years so far. It is BSI CMOS 5 40MP sensor and is able to make some great pictures. It has been my favorite Fuji sensor since CMOS III. Pictures are sharp, with a lot of details, and noise levels are well managed. Anything higher than 2000 will start slowly to collapse and look soft and soft. This is where IBIS 7 Stop comes and helps you keep this shutter open for a little longer, thus lowering your ISO as well.

I brought this camera with me on a trip to Mexico with a handful of lenses. X-E5 has proven to be a great travel camera. I liked the option to stick to the Pancake 27 mm to prepare the Foundation, or bring a 16-55 mm zoom lens for some diversity in a long day abroad.

But despite how much I liked my time with X-E5, all the last Fujifilm cameras have become similar to each other when it comes to performance. Some of these cameras excel in some way, but X-E5 does not have anything unique. It is a classic Jack for all professions. This is not a bad thing.

But once you start looking at prices, you may have some second ideas. When X-E4 came out it was $ 850 and was seen as a hidden jewel in the squad. At $ 1700, the most difficult sale begins. However, if you choose this one, make sure you choose a great and wonderful camera. It may not be a hidden jewel, but it is still a jewel.
