From Banaskantha to boardrooms: Gautam Adani’s pledge for women’s empowerment

On the International Women’s Day, the head of the Adani Gutam Adani group confirmed his commitment to gender equality and empowerment of women, and to exchange a deep personal message about the strong women who formed his life.
Adwani, who is attributed to his mother, his wife, Priti Adian, and a grandson to inspire his vision, is reflected in his journey towards strengthening a comprehensive world. He stressed that gender equality is not just a goal for the company but rather a personal task – the task that has become more urgent with the birth of his granddaughter.
In a heartbreak on heart social media, Adwani recalled the moment when he carried the hand of his first granddaughter, which made a silent promise to ensure a future in which she does not face any restrictions on her aspirations.
“A decade ago, while I was dealing with the fingers of my first delicate granddaughter, I pledged silent: to help build a world in which its ambitions do not know any limits, as the echo of its voice echoes with the same respect that any man measured, and where its value will be measured through her personality and contributions only.”
With three girls today, this promise grew stronger only. He admitted that while progress, women continue to face barriers in driving and opportunities.
“However, under this pride is the depletion of calm patience. Because despite our arrival, my grandson may still enter the halls of the Board of Directors where the only women are on the table. They may still have to fight more strongly, speak a louder voice, and prove themselves twice to obtain the recognition they deserve.”
Adani remembered a visit to one of the Adani Group ports and noticed that women are not in operational and leadership roles. This awareness has led to changes in politics within the company, and pressure for more opportunities to include and guidance for women.
“Several years ago, during a visit to one of our port projects, I noticed the lack of women in operational and leadership roles. This was not due to the lack of ability, but rather the absence of paths for them in these areas traditionally dominated by males. This perception has sparked a personal commitment to change.”
Adani is highlighted by the main initiatives by Adani, including the framework of the butterfly effect, which supports women in the different stages of life, and the Lakhpati Didis program, which helped more than 1,000 women achieve financial independence.
“Moreover, the” Lakhpati Didis “initiative celebrates more than 1,000 women who have achieved financial independence through enhanced entrepreneurship skills.”
The conclusion of his message, Adani urged men in leadership positions to look at gender equality as a joint responsibility and accelerate procedures to create a world where women are thoroughly thoroughly.
“Talents, visions, and leadership of women are invaluable resources that we cannot bear to calm.”
He addresses his granddaughter directly, leaving them with a strong message of hope and design:
“The world that you inherit must be a world where you meet your brilliance with open doors, not the glass ceilings. Your ambitions are never interrogated, they are not encouraged except, as you not only hear your voice, but after that.
