More than 30,000 ESR power banks recalled after batteries caught fire, exploded

More than 30,000 wireless energy banks that were sold across the United States and Canada were called for reports of batteries that explode and explode, causing thousands of dollars in property damage.

The recall of ESR Halolaock Power affects products with 2G520, 2G505B and 2G512B Models, according to the American Consumer Product Safety Committee (CPSC). The elements contain five circular LED lamps on one side and are sold in dark blue, light blue, gray, white and black.

The products were available for purchase on Amazon, Home Depot and ESR Tech sites between September 2023 and July 2025. At least 24,000 in the United States were sold and nearly 10,000 were sold in Canada.

ESR received nine reports on batteries hunting fire and explosion, which led to about $ 20,000 in property damage.

“The lithium -ion battery in banks that have been called in high temperature and ignite can be formed, and the fire is formed from fire and burning to consumers,” CPSC wrote in its announcement.

No injuries were reported regarding the recall.

Consumers are urged to stop immediately using recovered power banks and connecting to the company to recover full funds.

The product should be eliminated according to local regulations to get rid of dangerous waste, but it should not be thrown into the garbage, according to CPSC.

“The lithium ion batteries should be eliminated differently from other batteries, as they are a greater risk of fire,” CPSC wrote.

He added: “The center of the dangerous waste collection in the municipal family (HHW) may accept a battery or a Li -Ion device that has been called to get rid of.” “Before taking the battery or your device to the HHW collection center, call this office early and ask if it accepts the called Li -Ion batteries that were called. If it doesn’t happen, call your municipality to get more guidance.”
