Charlie Kirk advocated the death penalty prior to his assassination

Charlie Kerk, founder of USA in the United States of America, called for the death penalty on several occasions, arguing that it should be widely applied in murder cases and not only in the most extreme conditions.

On Friday, officials set Tyler Robinson, 22, as a suspect of Kirk’s assassination on the campus of Utah College.

Uta Spencer Cox’s governor said the state intends to follow the death penalty if the case goes to trial. president Donald Trump also expressed his support, saying that he hoped Robinson would receive the death penalty if convicted.

Earlier this year, Kirk discussed his position on the death penalty during an exchange with a student captured in a video posted on Turning Point Usa on YouTube. Kirk was asked about how to support a “limited government” with the belief that it should have the ability to implement people.

“I believe in a small but strong government, and for the record, I think the person who took a life should take his life,” Kirk told the student.

“Under all circumstances?” The student asks Kirk.

“Under most, yes,” Kirk responds.

The student replied that the death penalty must be dedicated to extremist cases, such as schools in schools, mass killing and crimes against humanity, but not what she described as “nonsense to the eye.”

“Why if you kill 10 people, such a thing is morally different from killing one person?” Kirk asked the student, on the pretext that even people who claim to oppose the death penalty sometimes invest.

“We, as governors, are trying to seek blind justice,” Kirk said. “Those who are on the left will argue over social justice … We, as conservatives, will believe in the ideal ideal that administrative justice will not prefer just because of the color of your skin, your background, your wealth, etc.”.

Likewise, in 2024, during an episode of the Charlie Kerk exhibition, the conservative activist and its harassment discussed the death penalty, including what children should be before they witnessed execution and whether this exposure would reduce the crime, according to Newsweek at that time.

“The death penalties should be general, and it should be fast. It should be broadcast,” Kirk said.

Kirk, a 31 -year -old husband and father, was shot on Wednesday while speaking at the University of Utah Valley as part of the American return tour. He was transferred to a local hospital, where he announced his death.
