Auston Matthews makes his feelings crystal clear about massive dip in goal scoring for Maple Leafs

There have been a few scorers with strong goals in recent years in the National Hockey League from the captain of Toronto Maple Levis Auston Matthews. He won the Rocket Richard Trophy as the best scorer in the league in three of the last four seasons.
But after reaching 69 goals in the 2023-24 NHL season, Matthews witnessed that his production production is largely decreased this season. With 46 games played (missed many games due to an injury), he scored only 22 goals on his way to reach only 30.
Although scoring 30 goals will be a good production for most players, it is far from what Matthews used to score, and he knows this.
“It is clear that I would like to register more. I will try to stop hitting a lot of publications, but sometimes this is the way you are going. Just continue to shoot and continue to believe … the type of registration was something, but I would like to think I am a full player.”
Many may argue that Matthews can attribute his decrease in scoring goals to the most directed play system towards the defense, which is managed by Craig Perub, Maple Lavel coach in the first year, which confirms keeping the scepter outside their network instead of an offensive attack style.
Auston Matthews and the papers will wrap the dice on Wednesday night in Las Vegas, with the golden knights of Vigas at T-Mobile Arena.
Auston Matthews loves to see maple leaves that offer additions to their list on the NHL trade date
In addition to being honest about scoring goals, Matthews also explained his clear ideas on the deadline of the imminent trade. He did not hide from the fact that he wanted to see the additions that were presented to the list in a similar way as a handful of clubs already did.
“At this time of the year, you see teams adding, and you also want to add them,” Matthews added on Tuesday. “So I am sure that the administration and employees do a lot of thinking at the present time, and they do a lot of homework and such things, and I will leave it in their hands.”
Tampa Bay Lightning captured Yanny Gord and Oliver Perksterland earlier today in a deal with Seattle Krakin, while Colorado Avansh recently picked up Ryan Lindger and Jimmy Vice from New York Rangers; Edmonton Oils acquired Trint Frederick from Boston Broken.
MAPLE LEAFS has performed major acquisitions on the last trade dates, including Luke Schenn and Ryan O’Railly in 2023.
