Space Startup Wants to Deliver Cargo Anywhere on Earth in One Hour

A new type of delivery system is prepared in the low Earth orbit. The reflection area, a relatively small startup founded in 2021, is preparing for a space delivery. The reusable spacecraft is designed to drop the goods from space to the ground on a narrow timetable, and to build a constellation of vehicles upon request parked in orbit.

This week, a reflection revealed its pioneering bow vehicle, which is a 4 -footed hybrid shipping capsule, with 4 feet length, and is able to carry 500 pounds (225 kg) of supplies. The California -based start -up company aims to launch ARC by the end of 2026, based on the lessons learned from the opening task of its experimental car earlier this year.

Delivery of space

The idea behind building ARC only allows access to space, but the ability to connect the goods from orbit anywhere on this planet within one hour. The independent car will be launched to the low ground orbit, where it will be placed there to store the goods for up to five years.

The reflection launched its first car in January as part of the Spacex Rideshare mission. The spacecraft, which is called Ray, was a display of the company’s new technologies, as it tests its systems inside the orbit and the re -entry capabilities. The task was often successful, but Ray witnessed a payment of payment that hindered her ability to re -enter the Earth’s atmosphere.

“I have completed the first spacecraft, Ray, its mission on the orbit-as a very successful test to verify the authenticity of the main technologies, although not trying to re-enter due to a short circle on the orbit in a component that prevents our Deorbit engine from igniting,” the company wrote in a statement.

The company notes that almost all systems on the spacecraft were designed at home with a small team of 25 people. The reflection may be new to the space industry, but the startup aims to build hundreds of cars annually and create a group of spacecraft to re -enter shipping by 2028.
