SIAM data February – Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew 1.9% to 3,77,689 units in Feb: SIAM

The Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) has announced the highest sales ever in the passenger vehicle sector in February 2025, where a total of 3,77,689 units, which represents 1.9 percent growth compared to February 2024.

“The passenger vehicle sector remained flexible and spread the highest sales ever in February in 2025 of 3.78 Lakha units.” He also pointed out that the growth in the three wheels sector was a positive sign of this industry, as it grew by 4.7 percent compared to the previous year.

Regarding the upcoming events, the upcoming celebrations in Holly and Ugadi are expected to continue to lead the demand in the auto sector. Siam expects that these celebrations will help closing the fiscal year 2024-25 in a reasonable positive note, although some parts show signs of slowdown.

Meanwhile, sub -categories such as electronic and quadruple sales have witnessed significant discounts, with electronic vehicle sales decreased by 50.9 percent and four -percent four -cent bicycle sales decreased compared to the same month in 2024.

Despite the total decrease in wheel sales, steam bikes showed a 0.5 percent decrease, while sharp declines were seen in motorcycle and bicycle departments, which saw 13.1 percent and 18.2 percent discounts, respectively.
