Larsa Pippen Shares Coparenting Reality With Ex-Husband Scottie

The Real Housewives of Miami The 51-year-old alum shared details of handling parenting with the former NBA star, 60, while speaking on the Friday, October 24, episode of her “I Do, Part 2” podcast.
“It’s funny because when I was going through my divorce and even today…it’s funny because Scottie and I fight over the kids, like he shows them a lot of love, and he shows them a lot of love,” Larsa admitted on the podcast. (Larsa and Scottie share four children: Scotty jr.24, Preston23, Justin“, 20 years old, and Sophia, 16 years old.
Larsa shared that sometimes her kids get stuck in the middle. During the podcast, Larsa told a story about how their daughter Sofia was upset because she was originally supposed to spend Thanksgiving last year with her in Miami but Scottie wanted to take her to Arkansas to visit his family for the holiday.
“She was very upset, and I told her, ‘It’s okay, go to Arkansas with your dad, because he loves you so much, and he’s so proud of it, and she wants to take you to visit his family,'” Larsa recalled. “But I was thinking, I guess it’s a good problem to have when your parents are fighting over you and wanting you. It feels good, you know?”
The reality star and professional athlete married in 1997 before announcing in 2016 that they were going their separate ways after nearly two decades together.

Although she was ready to move on at the time, Larsa admitted that she felt some regret that her marriage didn’t work out for the sake of the children.
“I wish my kids had, you know, a mom and a dad in the same house. I felt guilty because, you know, I grew up with a mom and dad,” Larsa explained. “I wanted my kids to grow up that way, but in terms of our relationship, it couldn’t be better than it is now. To be honest with you, we’re in a great place. We love each other. We will always support each other. “We support our kids, you know, we’re in a really good place.”
