The actress sold her stake to the Stoli Group in 2021, and has since been locked in a legal battle with her ex-husband over the decision. Earlier in June, Pitt attempted to fire a key member of the Stoli Group and force him to hand over documents related to the group’s treatment of Jolie.
Brad Pitt has now filed new documents seeking the actress to hand over the material herself, claiming it “gets to the heart of the case.”

However, the chances of Pitt obtaining the documents appear uncertain, as Jolie has been opposing the request by invoking attorney-client privilege.

The actor once tried to fire a representative of the group that bought the winery

The new filings are similar to those Pitt made on June 30, in which he revealed that he was unable to fire Alexei Oleinik, who was key in selling the winery to the Stoli Group.
The documents also detail how Oleinik refused to hand over any communications he had with the actor’s ex-wife and her team during negotiations to buy the winery.
According to the file he obtained US WeeklyPitt believes the documents go “directly to his core claims” in the case.
However, Olenik, at the time, refused to hand over the documents, claiming that he could not be forced to do so because he was a resident of Switzerland.
“This is another example of the defendant’s repeated opposition to sharing documents that would provide insight,” a source close to Pitt said.

Brad Pitt has claimed that Angelina Jolie did not give him a chance to match the winery’s offer

Although Pitt and Jolie finalized their divorce in December 2024, they appear to be unable to resolve their dispute over the sale of Chateau Miraval.
At the heart of Pitt’s argument is his claim that Jolie fraudulently sold her stake to the group that eventually bought it, despite having ongoing negotiations with him over the same stake.
According to the documents he obtained American Sun In May, Jolie’s “transaction advisor” allegedly provided “detailed feedback” to Stoli and her negotiators from his private meetings with the actress.
This information included “what it would take for Stoli to beat Pitt’s offer,” and ultimately led the group to agree to a $65 million deal in 2021.

Pete claimed that the agreed-upon price was kept secret from him, leaving him unable to match or exceed the offer before the sale.
