Ravens DC makes feelings clear on game planning for Shedeur Sanders ahead of Week 11 clash vs. Browns
The Baltimore Ravens will visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and they are not expected to play rookie quarterback Shedor Sanders — at least not at the start of that game. But Zach Orr is still treating it as a possibility.
The defensive coordinator said Thursday:
“We always look at that. Our scouts do a great job preparing us [for] “He’ll probably come into the game, and we always do that with backup quarterbacks, because you want to know what you could be up against.”

Elsewhere on the defensive side, head coach John Harbaugh praised the Browns’ defense as “one of the best”:
“They have a lot of quality players. They have a great scheme. They play with great intensity. They’re physical.”
On the offensive side of the ball, the Ravens got some good news regarding star quarterback Lamar Jackson — he was a full participant in practice after a knee injury knocked him out of Wednesday’s game. Defensive backs Denzel Ward and Grant Delpit shared some thoughts on the MVP award several times:
Ward: “He’s a great player… He’s a playmaker. He’s able to extend plays, so it’s really hard to cover guys in this league.”
Delpit: “He’s running all over the field, expecting you to stick it until he’s incomplete. They’ll make a play or two, and Lamar will run out of the pocket, do some crazy things as we’ve all seen. So, we’ve just got to do our best to stay close.”
The Ravens are looking to get Derrick Henry to start against the Browns
The last time the Ravens faced the Browns, they won 41-17. However, their running game was less than stellar, covering just 45 yards. Derrick Henry was responsible for 23 of them, his lowest production since joining the team as a free agent in 2024.
The former Offensive Player of the Year was vocal about not wanting to repeat those struggles when addressing the media in the locker room. However, he also acknowledged that it will be difficult, given the defensive strength posed by the “disruptive front” of veteran defensive tackle Malik Collins and rookies Mason Graham and Carson Schwesinger.
Meanwhile, for offensive coordinator Todd Monken, there was only one thing to do — “fix it”:
“They chased us down very well. I think we ran 21 times for about 46 yards, which is unacceptable. There’s no other way to put it. … This is the NFL; you’ve got good teams, good defenses, but we’ve got to do a better job of running.”
The game begins at 1 PM ET on CBS.
