Jeremy Renner’s Lawyer Denies Yi Zhou’s Settlement Claims

The trouble began when Cho called out the “Hawkeye” star in a series of Instagram posts in which she accused him of sending her unwanted intimate photos and videos. The actor then responded with a cease and desist letter, accusing the director of threatening him.

Now, Jeremy Renner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has slammed the director, claiming that the dispute has yet to be resolved and that her story is “fabricated.”

In chat with TMZ, Chu claimed that she and Renner “reached a peaceful solution based on mutual respect.”

She did not share details of her conversation with the actor, but revealed that they plan to move forward with their joint projects. The two have been working on a documentary called “Chronicles of Disney” and a film generated entirely by artificial intelligence called “Stardust Future.”

In her statement to the media, Chu also thanked everyone involved in the dispute resolution process, including Renner’s attorney, Marty Singer.

“We appreciate everyone who has supported a positive outcome and embraced a collaborative, forward-looking path,” she said. “This decision allows all parties to continue to focus on storytelling, creativity, and meaningful work that uplifts audiences around the world.”

However, Renner’s lawyer criticized Cho, noting that no agreement had been reached to resolve the actor’s “significant, multi-million dollar claims against her.”

Singer added: “I have no knowledge of why Ye Zhu would make up a story that a deal was made with her since she was notified that there was no deal with her, including using Jeremy Renner in an animated film when he had only agreed to be in a documentary.”

The dispute between Zhou and Renner began after their relationship became strained following an incident at the actor’s home.

According to Cho, the two were discussing the logistics of The Chronicles of Disney when Renner suddenly decided to drink some wine.

She claimed Renner drank an entire bottle on his own and then experienced mood swings that led to him screaming for nearly two hours.

Cho further stated that his behavior made her fear for her safety and prompted her to reach out to her loved ones to keep them informed.

“I had to share the location with my team, my parents, and my colleagues at Disney in case something happened to me, so they knew where I was,” Cho said in an interview with Disney Magazine. Daily Mail. “I had to lock myself in a room to be safe, and pray that he wouldn’t come into the room at night, because he was really angry. I didn’t say a word; I was so afraid for my life.”

Details about how Renner sent unsolicited explicit videos to Zhou were shared on Instagram by the director.

She claimed that the actor first contacted her in June, where he reportedly sent the photos.

Cho also noted that this was his so-called “introduction” to her and claimed that he had done the same with other women.

What followed, according to Cho, was a series of calls and text discussions during which the actor allegedly tried to seduce her.

She claimed the actor told her he was looking for a relationship and then “seduced” her and “complimented” her because “he was a Hollywood star who fantasized about me and liked me very much.”

The director added: “I believed in him/in the power of love and embarked on the most difficult months + 2 projects running the Oscars, and kindly invited him to be a part. After that, I discovered that I had been destroyed by a bunch of slander from fans.” [sic] A campaign against me and our projects.”

Through his lawyer, Renner criticized Cho’s accusations, calling them “false, outrageous and highly defamatory.”

His statement specifically addressed Cho’s claims that she attempted to confront the actor privately about his past misconduct and her claim that he threatened to have Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) subpoena her.

According to Singer, Cho’s accusations were merely retaliatory, stemming from Renner’s alleged rejection of her romantic advances and failure to promote their joint projects.

He admitted that Renner and Cho had a brief romance in July but stated that it was Cho who pursued the actor.
