UP Warriorz bought 17 players at the WPL 2026 auction in Delhi on Thursday, November 27. The UP-based franchise bought India’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma as the most expensive player in the auction for INR 3.2 crore. The Abhishek Nayar-coached side exercised the Right to Match (RTM) after Delhi Capitals (DC) payouts rose from INR 50 lakh to INR 3.2 lakh.

In another high-profile purchase, UP Warriorz have snapped up former Australia captain Meg Lanning after a bidding war with the Capitals for INR 1.9 Crore. All-rounder Phoebe Litchfield was the other Australian pick for INR 1.2 crore.

The franchise has bought back professional player Sophie Ecclestone from England for Right to Match (RTM) at a price of INR 85 lakh. Other RTMs were used for hard hitter Kiran Navgire and Kranti Goud. They didn’t need RTM to buy back Harleen Deol. Surprisingly, the franchise has managed only one specialist wicketkeeper – Shipra Giri. They missed out on Australian legend Alyssa Healy, whose base price was INR 50 lakh. Interestingly, the Australian skipper was not sold in the 2026 WPL auction.

Other notable buys were West Indies all-rounders Deandra Dottin, Shikha Pandey, Parteeka Rawal and Chloe Tryon. Rawal, in particular, sold last in the rush towards the end of the auction.

Earlier, the UP-based franchise retained Shweta Sehrawat for only INR 50 lakh before the auction.
