Crawford Walks From Jake Paul Fight, Wanted Canelo Money

Terence Crawford, says coach Bernie “Tha Boxer” Davis “access denied” Offer to fight Jake Paul. He says they won’t “Pay him enough.” Which was $100 million.

It’s the same $100 million that Bernie says Crawford wants for his rematch with Canelo Alvarez. He didn’t say how much Jake Paul offered Crawford, but it wasn’t enough to get him to agree.

Paul will fight Anthony Joshua on December 19. He reportedly earned $80 million for the fight. If Crawford is offered a similar sum, it would show just how high his price tag has been since he received $50 million for his win over undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo on September 13, 2025.

“He told me he refused. “I don’t think they want to pay him enough,” trainer Bernie Davis told MillCity Boxing Magazine about Terence Crawford declining to fight Jake Paul.

“It’s $100 [million]. They certainly wouldn’t pay him $100 to get his shouts out because Crawford doesn’t know how to play a role. He doesn’t know how to run any script. He doesn’t know how to do any of that. “So, Jake Paul is going to get a big thumbs up,” Davis said of Paul’s team.

Crawford will lose a lot of great paydays if he insists on getting him $100 million for the fight, because it’s not a big enough draw without Canelo. It will be Jake Paul who brings the crowd, not Crawford.
