Roach Vows To Beat Pitbull Cruz “Convincingly” On Saturday

Lamont Roach says he will defeat interim WBC light welterweight champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz “convincingly” within three days of their fight on Amazon Prime Video PPV on December 6th.

KO Talk without KO Puncher

Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs) has stated that he believes he will knock out Cruz (28-3-1, 18 KOs). together CO rate 40%Lamont will need to sit on his punches on Saturday for his predictions to come true. He has never been a player during his career, and he is 30 years old.

It is still inhabited by tanks

With three days to go until the film’s finale, Roach still mostly talks about Gervonta Davis in his interviews. In three separate interviews this week, he took the time to talk about the tank battle.

It’s as if he’s still agonizing over not getting the victory and then missing out on the rematch. It looks like a hunter recalling the memory of A Big fish escaped. He couldn’t stop talking about the tank battle, and he hadn’t processed it internally yet. Hopefully Roach isn’t dreaming about Davis during Saturday’s fight against Crews.

Book Shakur fantasy

Roach also talks a lot about how he believes he will get a fight against Shakur Stevenson after beating Teofimo Lopez. He says this is the biggest fight at 135. These are two defensive fighters. It wouldn’t be as interesting as seeing Shakur fight Abdullah Mason or Floyd Scofield.

“I won very convincingly,” Lamont Roach told Ariel Helwani’s YouTube channel about his fight against Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz on Saturday night. “Pitbull is a tough guy. Do I think I can stop him? Yes. But if I don’t, don’t get upset with me.”

Cruz is not Hector Garcia

If Roach faces Pitbull Cruz like he did against Hector Luis Garcia and Jamal Herring, he might lose. He barely beat Hector by a 12-round decision in 2023. The referee gave Roach credit for a rabbit punch knockout in the 12th round, pinning Hector behind the head. He wouldn’t have won the fight without that knockout.

This performance showed Roach’s limits as a fighter. He also didn’t look good against Jamal Herring in 2019, losing to him.

“I feel like this was the best fight that presented itself, and I’m not a small guy. 140 isn’t that far off,” Roach said when asked why he chose to move up to light welterweight. “Pitbull Crews is the interim world champion. Once I beat him, I’ll be in line as the 140-pound champion.

“Not at all. I have unfinished business,” Roach said when asked if he had finished 135.

Roach appears to be talking about his hope that Tank Davis will fight him again. He is unlikely to do so because he can make more money fighting other fighters at lightweight. He won’t waste one of his last remaining fights against Roach.
