GM recalls over 90,000 Cadillac, Chevrolet vehicles due to transmission issue

General Motors remembers more than 90,000 cars in response to a potential transportation that can lead to an increased risk of failure.
The auto industry company said in a summons report submitted to the National Road Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the transmission control valve within 2020-2021 Cadillac CT4, 2020-2021 Cadillac CT5, 2019-2020 can suffer from Cadillac CT6 and 2020-2022 “moment” of the wheel lock in “rare cases”.
The brief closure of the wheels can be formed while vehicles that have been called “increased the risk of infection” can form, according to the NHTSA recall report.

“This summons includes only the vehicles equipped with 10 speeds,” said the report on the vehicles that were summoned. “The vehicles equipped are not affected by another transfer of this summons.”
“The safety of our customers is the highest priority for the entire General Motors team” and that the auto company was “working to address this issue by updating the program as soon as possible.”

There was one report on an alleged accident that is likely to be linked to the valve defect, according to the summons report.

The report said that updating the program to address the problem “will discover excess corrosion about 10,000 miles before the wheel lock status” and prevent it from occurring by “the transmission position in the fifth gear until the next main cycle.”

Merchants will install the transmission control unit monitoring program without a charge for customers.
Calling vehicle owners can expect to receive messages in the mail starting from April 21, according to the NHTSA report.
