A cuter, more unified smart display

A few years have passed since Echo 8 got an update and up to the longer for the Echo AGing 10 exhibition. Today Amazon is fixing this through two new smart shows: Gen Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11.

Immediately, the first thing you notice about the refreshing Amazon collection is its designs. In the foreground, there is a high -resolution screen based on the tablet (either 8.7 inches or 11 inches depending on the model). At the back there is a curved housing covered with an interior mesh fabric and loudspeakers that borrow a lot from the new Echo and Echo Dot Max Studio. This is a very large exit from the Amazon ancestors in the form of a wedge and I think it is successful. Both models seem more elegant and polished, while their round rules make them easy to angle properly in any room in any room.

However, while both models are characterized by new 13 -megapixel cameras with automatic cutting technology (meaning that they can track your face if you need to move around the room during a video call), none of the version has a built -in engine that allows the entire width to rotate and rotate as you got an old echo show. Or it is not very necessary only when you can reinstine the device’s camera that frams the video dynamically in the program.

Elsewhere, there are some useful material controls in the size on the right side of the “displayed” display with a switch to disable the microphones and the camera on the plane. Regardless, there is one barrel in the back for energy (which is a little annoying, I hope it is USB-C) and not much. So, if you want to connect the new Echo offers for some reason on the Internet, you will need great creativity.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to see how the sound is compared to the new Echo Show models with the updated or Dot Max studio. However, updated Amazon screens is a great improvement. They have huge width angles, so it is never difficult to see what is on the screen from anywhere. Although Amazon did not provide official brightness characters, based on what I saw, the paintings are somewhat vibrant, so there should not be any major problems in displaying things in sunny rooms.

Amazon refreshing user interface is also somewhat clear. All you need is some taps or strokes to open things such as the video tab, music control and settings and a list of upcoming calendar events. Meanwhile, adding the AZ3 Pro Amazon chip from Amazon has greatly improved the response of touch and gestures to the point where I felt slightly faster than Google Nest Hub Max at home.

Of course, the true influence of the new Echo offers has not yet been seen, because although updated devices are nice, the true value of these smart offers is how you are now in a better position to be the center of the ecosystem of the Amazon smart home. Both devices support Zigbee, Matter and thread, so it should be easy to use to control other devices, while features such as Wi-Fi radar allows a wide range of contextual reactions from Alexa. Although I believe that the ability to create procedures and automate using your voice is a major upgrade to the average user, I could not test this job in this event.

Another possible omission is that although the largest smart screens in Amazon got a big update today, the same thing can be said to Echo Show 5. So this model is still offered for sale, I will not be surprised if it is turned off when the supply is running out or re -imagines it as something around the smart clock at some point in the future.

The new Echo ($ 180) and Echo Show 11 ($ 220) is available for pre -order today and will come with early arrival to Alexa+ before official sales began on November 12.
